How We Met

I met him at a horse rescue facility. He and I have a special friendship and we love hanging out together. He came from animal control, possibly an abuse case because he is very nervous but he so gentle and sweet when he is relaxed, you totally wouldn't know it! I cannot yet call him my very own but I will be adopting him for sure!

March Update!
On Tuesday I went to work with Snickers. I went to get him in his pasture. Instead of standing and waiting for me to come up like he normally does, he walked right up to me! That was a very special moment for me. We worked in the round pen, free lunging. The wind made him very nervous but he did great! He is great with picking up his feet now for cleaning, still a little stubborn with his front left but he is quicker with giving it now. I took him back to his pasture and he stopped in the gateway his face clearly said "Aw, do I have to go back ALREADY?" But he went with a little encouragement. (and an apple slice!) That boy is improving so much! He is so less nervous and I can feel his trust in me and our bond growing stronger every time. :)

April, 4;

Yay! Finally get to sponsor thios special boy! So excited! :) Worked with him the other day, stood next to him and put my weight over his back. He turned his head and looked at me like: "Hm, what are you doing back there?" Love that boy and his awesome facial expressions!

SNICKERS'S STORY
Someone saw a pony wandering on the road and called animal control. Animal control arrived and tried to catch hi with a rope, halter but to no avail. He kept running away. So one of they took a dart gun and fired one at his hip and he stopped as if "Oh! I'm caught!" and he stood stone still and let them catch him. (I think his part is hilarious!) Anyway, animal control took him to a rescue facility. Which is where I met him....
