How We Met

Originally she was my sisters horse, then my sister became busy with her other horse and my horse became injured, so I began to work more with Melody. Melody and I have been together since, through good and bad times..

Progress
On November 5, 2012 Melody was in a fence accident. The high tensile wire fence had somehow wrapped itself around her back left leg, and her instincts probably kicked in causing her to take off. I found her with the wire cutting into her leg, along with at least a 2 inch gap exposing her cannon bone. The wire also severed her extensor tendon. With dedication I went at the leg injury like none other for 7 long months, with help from my vet when I had a question about something. Today Melody is doing AMAZING! From watching her run, I do believe her extensor tendon has grown back somehow. A couple weeks ago we went on a 4 mile trail ride for her first time out since the accident. Anything is possible if you just put dedication into the mix!

Come visit me, Fine Lee A Melody.
