Okay so since I was last on, we got 1 third in HUS at qualifying and a fourth in eq., and showmanship. We got a fifth a 6th and three fourths at an NPHA show, and at the Halloween show we got 5th in costume, 2 in equitation, 2 in under saddle, 3rd in pairs(w/o practicing). Um we didn't place in egg and spoon, barrels, keyhole, barnyard jumping(they made it a speed event), izzy dizzy, and some other things. Come visit me, Buck, Dreamer, Willow & Jackson.

Alrighty so he was lame because of a splint that we found on Thursday. He is sound now. We went to a show today and did Grooming and Showmanship English Junior, Hunt Seat Eq. On the flat junior, and hunter under saddle horses junior. We got first place in every class. His first ever blue with me and my first every blues in 4-H. before now my only blue had been on dreamer in eq. it was the best show ever and he was an angel. Major Updates
Ok so Jackson and I didn't place at the show in April, well either of them. In may we competed in another show. I competed in Open Pleasure, which as it turns out was filled with a bunch of trainers. I didn't have much of a chance. We placed in 3 out of 4 classes. We placed 5th each time which was good out of 12-14 horses. Anyways that was his first successful walk/trot/canter show. He again has an unknown injury if any of you remember from last year. Same thing. Well he's home for now. Sorry if I don't get on much, busy working.Come visit me, Buck, Dreamer, Willow & Jackson.

Jackson is doing perfect. We're jumping a little and picking up the correct lead and getting our head down. HE IS THE BEST HORSE EVER(besides Buck and Dreamer). I am so proud, our first show is April 19-20 and our second is April 27. Come visit me, Buck, Dreamer, Willow & Jackson.

I'm sorry I didn't answer your blogs! I was gone for the new year. I'm sorry you have to sell Jackson and Willow. But the top blog says your not selling Jackson. Is that true? I hope it is. Your right, some horse/rider combinations just don't click. It's different than ypu and Jackson, but there was this $40,000 pony that could jump at least 3'3" at my barn once. Everyone but me loved the pony, but I got on it and it bucked me off and cracked my pelvis. I couldn't get on the pony right then, but I got on him the next day. I rode him but I was scared of him. I wouldn't get on him again until Tonka's previous owner (who owned him at the time) took him away for a while and I had to show somebody and my instructor told me to ride him. The show went fine (although I only placed 4th), but I'm still scared of that pony, although nobody can understand why.Bonnie, Jupiter, FL.

I'm so sad :( my favorite horse at Hidden Hollow who is owned by Luan Smith got sold to one of the kids she teaches. I know the kid so I will probably ask to ride him sometime. Go me I bought side reins, a new show helmet, new tall boot socks, a pulling comb, rubber bands, standing wraps, and the cotton that goes under them and I think there was more but oh well. F.M. Browns in Sinking Springs PA is closing and they are having a sale for 6-8 weeks and they will keep restocking everything for about 7 weeks. Everything is 20-50% off. Saddles and helmets are 50% off. Okay after all our work the show went bad. We did okay in halter but didn't place. We were doing perfect in Hunt Seat Equitation but he broke to the right and wouldn't pick up the correct lead again. In Hunter Under Saddle He wouldn't pick up the correct lead to the right at all. It was horrifying. I got one 6th out of 6. All of my friends who were waiting for western to start cheered for me anyway since they know Jackson is a green show horse and how depressing that is. Come visit me, Buck, Dreamer, Willow & Jackson.

Tonka
That paint sounds allot like Tonka a year ago! And I totally know what you mean about having to calm her down all over again once somebody else gets on; Tonka's exactly like that. Even now. I rode him on Wednesday and he was PERFECT! But today he REFUSED to jump!!! We started with an X to warm up with and he was OK, and the I tried him over the oxer, which he had been jumping with no problem. The first time he almost refused but I kicked him up to it and he went over. But the second time he refused. And the third. And the fourth. My instructor lowered the jump but he still wouldn't jump it. I finally got him over it three times but it WAS NOT pretty! But I took him on his very first trail ride with me actually riding him instead of leading him and he was great!Bonnie, Jupiter, FL.
