Hi & a Vote,
Trimmed Blue's nails today (more difficult than a horse)... so that was a main accomplishment. It is getting cloudier/darker now, so I wonder if we might get a storm this evening.

Come visit me, Rocky (the blue-eyed wonder horse), Comet (has new home) & Cowboy (Thanks for HOTD 1/19/2017!).

The foal was my mare's, but sadly we lost him 24 hours after he was born. Rayne rejected him, and we had success at bottle feeding him, but think he had health problems bcuz of how fast he went. It was heartbreaking.
Your foal is very cute...Voted :)

Come visit me, Rayne & Malibu.

Well, shoot, sorry you didn't make it to the park, that sounded like it would've been fun. Another day.
Wow, love when people still use their breeding studs for riding, just one of the proofs you look for that a stud is worthy of breeding to.
Maybe he'll get bold enough to hang with the mares one day.
Not much here. I had a ton of errands (the poor car did truck duty again, carried 8 ft boards-some stuck out of the window as before- and a lot of groceries home). Then I worked on the chickens' run, looking for and patching loose spots. By the afternoon, it was pretty hot so I didn't work Allie, but I did hose off Dee last night. Poor mare was still very sweaty at 8:30 at night. There's more to come, they say high 90s by the weekend.
Well, hope you have a great thursday and don't get too hot.

Come visit me, Allie & BJ and his mom Gracie. Honored to be July HOTM!.

A Vote for You!!
I know there is no cure for Mareks and their legs will start doing the splits, but there is also a Vit. deficiency that does the same thing. There is a vaccine but must be given before the chick is hatched or right afterwards. But these chicks, even as adults can not mix with chickens that are not vaccinated, because it will also them to die. I had 2 rooster that were vaccinated, and both were here about 2 weeks and then died.

Come visit me, Mistic, Willow & Whisper.
