Once again thank you for sending Mistit a vote, hugs, love, and wishes for more treats...she liked that one the best, because she got a few extra apples. But that stinking steer took one of hers.

Hi Kristy, here's a vote for ya. Well had the dentist bright an early this morning. WOW he did two teeth, almost a two hour job, but do they look great! Two more to go on the next visit in two weeks and I'm done. That's a fast Grand! Stopped on the way home at Home Depot to pick up a storage rack for the garage, naturally only had the floor model left! Said I'll take it! It had a couple of small dings in it, (really didn't care) but asked for a discount, they took $10 off the price and said if I apply for their credit card, I get another $25 off. So I got a chrome four shelf rack for under $6! Love that after my dental expense! LOL! Got home and turned them over, very overcast and chilly, sheets on! Honey and I went for our walk. Came home and did another hour's work on my outdoor arena. It's getting there! About 70% weed and grass free. Hope the snow don't fly before I finish! LOL! Marion and the blondes.

Thank You for sending Mistit a vote of congratulations for being HOTD.
I just wish she would have her foal. She still is fat belly wise and has milk. I wish it did not 150 dollar farm call to have the vet come out, but she does not seem stressed or off feed, runs around with Willow and Whisper. So, if it a fault PG, then I will know soon.
Rained all day long yesterday, not hard just light rain, and wind, temps were around 44, so fall is certainly here. Geese are heading your way, been so cloudy, but I can hear them. Caterpillars are everywhere, it seems I am always putting them out of harms way, so they do not get stepped on or ran over.

I did not have any trouble "yet" with HC, but I remember last yr, it was like nearly a month without being to beable to log on. Woke up to rain this morning, so did all the chores in the rain, and then it stops. Mike has to put in a large round bale now, and then it starts again...so we wait. Tomorrow, he has VA appointment, in Wausau, so we will have to leave early to get there by 8, for labs, but his appointment is not until 10. Everyone, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, g.hens, horses, g.pig, hamsters, fish, have given me their list...some of it I can not make out, but I am sure it is food or treats, or both. I better bring more than my 3 dollar allowance....(Joke between Mike and me and the girls at the Connection Store, like GoodWill or St. Vinny's)

Fast quick votes. Going to rain again, and want to throw more vines and weeds to the pigs. Temps are cool, 50 right now with a good wind. Not suppose to be higher than 60 all week. I wish I could send everyone who is too hot, some of our weather.

Still raining on and off, lots of flood warnings out, but mostly to in the southern part of Wis. Trees are putting on their colorful leaves, and winds are really getting stronger, so they may not last long. October is the the big month for color, but we have had snow already in September, (not this yr yet).
We are starting to cut firewood, nothing major, because had to fix the chainsaw. Rain I enjoy, but hate the mud, clay mud is sticky and deep, so far, its been not too bad. We are waiting for it to dry out, so far has not happened all summer. Want to push dirty up against the barn to plug up some holes at the base of the cement blocks. Have some projects, like change the side door in the Menard shed, where the young birds are, plus hay, and hopefully a pen for ????

Mike and I cleaned up "most" of the tomatoes in the garden. Pigs to not eat the vines/plant because it is related to the black night shade plant (poison) ...potatoes are also in this family. But they do eat the cooked potatoes, and after I peel potatoes, put the peels in a bucket, and will pour the water from the cooked potatoes over them, and cover. Then they will eat them. Had 2 5 gal buckets full. Washed one pail, and sorted, emptied the other one left to dry, made 5 jars of green tomato pickles. Will can them today. After dinner, left to go pick apples by my son, Mikey, and had 7 5 gal buckets, most of these are for horses and deer. Mike had to start feeding the deer today, and after we got out there, it just poured, came back soaked threw our winter jackets and even T-shirts. It rain all afternoon, let off at supper and time for me to get everyone in. One guinea was missing so I had to hunt for her, finally found her in with the young chickens high up in the rafters. Took Mistit into the lean to, because she was just standing out in the rain, but then she kept calling for the other horses, who were keeping her out of the barn. Some friends huh. Now she is staked out on the back yard, with Sadie trying to grap the lead rope....Mistit just stomps her foot at Sadie.

Hi Kristy, here's a vote for ya. Well it was a busy work day today! Took some hay to the barn. Rode Paige, and she was light as a feather today! Amazing what a little A$$ kicking will do to make them remember you can do this! LOL! Mowed the entire lawn and then turned them out. Broke for lunch then. After I had a nice salad with all the fixin's, Honey and I headed out for our walk. Did close to 2 miles again today. I think that'll be our entire walk all the time. By then we're both out of steam and have our tongues hanging! LOL! Thinking tomorrow will be wash and detail the truck! Beast needs a good cleaning and maybe even a vacuuming! Sadie has been here a bit over a week, seems like it has been longer. Mike takes her with him, when ever he is picking up Dominic, which that guy loves. She listens good,....so far as long as no cats are around. Angel doesn't run so he is no fun for Sadie. But the two cats from the rescue run, but I see they just hide and she gives up.
Fast voting so I can get a few more jobs done this morning. Going to rain the next few days, so what to get the garden veggies out. If it rains, then will work out in the shed picking up the mess that it is being coming with never putting things back and just adding more in the wrong place. I guess 99% are my projects that are not finished yet.

Busy trying to play catch up, neighbor stopped over yesterday morning, just as we were to leave to pick up Mikey's pills and take Dominic home. She always has so much to tall about....she the reason we do not need a newspaper.... :). She knows all the news. So her 2 hour visit puts me behind all day. He had to leave early to dress Mikey's toes/foot, before we went to Mass. How I have a double batch of tomotoes/celery/chili based which did not get into jars...yet. Will can it tomorrow, but want to get everything ready today. Did most of the work last night, but Sunday I don't do work that can wait. God must have made this day for me to rest, so I try to just pretend I am resting.
Heard from Eric and he said the ponies are enjoying all the extra attention and kids really love them. I knew he had a incubator and wanted guineas too, so I collected eggs for him, and he said his wife had set them already. She was so excited to get them....maybe more than the ponies, but I don't think so.

Not sure about the sale today....want to go, but anytime I take a day off, the fairies seem to take one too. Yesterday, I noticed the spiders started decorating for Halloween, spider webs in every room. The dust bunnies came out and really multiply, and Sadies's mess under the table got bigger. She seems to think, all cardboard boxes need to be tore into 1 inch x 1 inches or smaller.
Ponies did wonderful getting into the trailer, but I felt like a "Judes goat" leading them in. But their new home is so nice. They will have their own stalls, but for now the have a small pen, which will go into a bigger pasture, and 3 kids to love them. I brought everything I could think of that they might need, treats, apples, carrots, brushes, combs, extra halters, 3 new lead ropes, hoof pick, a few stuffed horses, books on ponies, and a few other horsey things. They showed us the other barn, where they had ducks and chickens, everything was so clean, and no mud. I think the ponies will love it there. But Mistit is still calling for them. So that part is so sad for me. I spent extra time with her last night after we got home.

I got to ride Allie yesterday for the first time in over a week, and she did well. It was good to be back on her. I'll take the roundpen down as soon as I have time and use the panels to cut the riding ring in half. I'm hoping she can handle loping in a bigger area, but not too much bigger.
Well, hope you have a great saturday. Take care.

Awe Mistit...should be call Mystery Mistit. She still has milk, very yellow looking the drop I milk out of her. She stands off by herself so much, so I sure hope it is born by Christmas.. :)
I am sure if she had lost it, there would have been discharge and some sort of bloodish matter.
Ponies leave on Friday, and yes, it is so hard for me. But I can not help another horse or pony, if they do not leave. I just keep having this dream about going in to the back barn of a horse sale, where the sold horses are waiting transport, and I am sure they are heading to Canada. I know some of the meat dealers, and they are usually willing to sell me some of the younger ones, I alway say I have "friends in low places". There is a sale on Saturday....4 day sale, called Center Wisconsin Horse Sale. I am sure that some of them will end up on Ryons Rescue. This is a old sale, use to take the kids there, and of course, usually ended up with a few. Somehow, I always found someone heading our way, that could deliver them.

I guess I love all my horses and ponies toooooo much, because them having a new home is more important than making money off them. I very seldom, sell for money, this time I am doing a trade(s) for rifle/gun. I have seen the little hobby farm, and can see the love the father has built into his barn and how he treats his other animals.
I take in horses/ponies that need a home, because they in need of help. Usually, they are just babies, and just are not taught anything, afraid and not handled. After, I work with them, and make them ready for their new home, I start looking for someone who wants what they have to give. Pickles, I really thought I would want to keep, but he turned out better than what I thought he could.
Mike has to rewire the horse trailer, since the little pigs, would play under it, and must have created a short. Trouble is, with his artificial knees, he can not get down on the ground....well, he can, but then can not get back up. Waiting for the neighbor boy to come over and help him out.

Going to can this morning while Mike is taking Mikey to dentist appointment in Rhinelander. Last time he was there, his blood pressure shot way up, they would not do the work, it went up because of all his toe issues with infection and all of the things wrong with it. Looks better, but he is still on antibiotic, to prevent the infection from going into the bone. .New puppy came on Saturday, we picked up Dominic so he could play with her all day. Half lab half ???, he took so pictures so I will make them small and post them later. I forgot how rambunctious puppies can be, and how much they can pittle. and destroy everything in their site. Her name is Sadie, which she came with. She is learning and relearning the word "NO"!!

Hi Kristy, here's a vote for ya. Well it's another hot humid one! I did get a short ride in on Paige. Like total time of 35 to 40 minutes between a little lunging and then riding. We were both drenched! Took her up to the wash area and hosed her off, then myself! I'm beginning to think that just wearing a bathing suit would be easier! I've been changing clothes 3 times a day to stay dry! LOL! One way to keep the neighbors at bay! Then at normal turnout time it was 88 degrees with a heat index of 102! Nobody went out! Fresh water and hay in front of their fans! Temps are supposed to be better Sunday and all next week! Sure hope so, this is not like Sept weather for us at all! Marion and the blondes.

We have cool temps and of course raining on and off. No dryer, so I have been hanging out and quickly bring in the clothes on the line. I have a wooden rack to hang things on in the house.
Have news of a pup, that needs a home, like yesterday, so might have new on it tomorrow. All I know its Mom is a silver lab, father unknown. This will be her 4th home, if I can find away to sneak her in....maybe send Mike on a road trip, and then tell him this dog mysterious appeared with Dominic's name on her....I get really good at making up stories, mostly unbelievable. Still raining on and off in Wisconsin. We got 5 inches 2 days ago, and lesser amounts since then. Everything of course is wet, and soggy. Canned more tomatoes and relish yesterday, and have another batch draining in the refrigerator. Not getting many cucs, because all the squash vines took over that whole corner, and anywhere else "they" wanted to grow....like a Monster Vine.

Rained most of the day, sometimes really poured, horses stayed in the shed, because if they stepped out, its pure mud about a foot deep, other door way is worst. It was about 4-5 inches of rain in the buckets which were empty. It's raining out now, but not hard, just enough to get stuff wet. Mike is off to Eau Claire again for Tristan, but my brother in law, was forced...like talked in to forced to go along. Keep Mike company. Hopefully, I can get more canning done. Did 2 batches of tomatoes yesterday afternoon. That's 14 qts, of like strew tomatoes. Also did a batch of salsa, and one of green tomatoes relish, but these are still draining off the juice, and I will add the vinegar and salt, sugar, spices cook them and then put them into jars and can them. Guess what...there will be more in a day or so.

Not sure I'll work Allie today, I'll see how she moves. Maybe just ride at the walk, which would be good for her mind anyway. I had to laugh at the mares yesterday: Dee loves to splash her head in the water trough until her whole front half is wet. Gracie hasn't learned how to do that (or else won't stoop to such embarrassing antics) but she likes to stand next to Dee so that she gets splashed too, but as an inncocent bystander. They both looked pretty drowned and the water trough was nearly empty by the time they finished, lol.
Well, happy hump day.

As I type, I hope you can hear Mother Nature being a naughty, naughty lady. BIG LOUD thunders, and what a fireworks display...never mind the down pour. My tulips, I planted where I took out the turtle pond "really" are getting the soaking they needed....might decide to bloom before winter. It started before 4 this morning and suppose to continue all week, I hope not this hard. Let everyone one just as it got light, because the rain had stopped. I guess chickens knew more than I did, because they just stayed in the coop, and the ones in the shed did not want to go outside either. Had a good visit with my sister at Mom's, she comes for the Hawkins parade each yr, by herself, and picks up my other sister, who hates to drive because she lost her one eye at 8 yrs old. Up until last yr she had a fake eye, but because of a infection it ate up some of the support of the fake eye, and now has to wait until everything clears up. That and her insurance does not want to pay anything, because the only place she can go is out of network. My sister will take 5 of the baby guinea hens to a friend who wanted some, and I took him I would make sure he got them. I gave him eggs to incubate, but he said he did not know what went wrong, but each time you try a hatch, you learn new things not to do or to do, that you did before. Hey, it stopped storming for a few minutes....yep, I see ponies coming out of the barn.

Went to pick up a new front door from Menard's Labor Day special. Another long ride, over hour ride, to nearest store, long ride after we went 50 miles the other way to Tomahawk for a cookot. Really, Mikey needed one, and we went along and decided to get one also. I "think" we were invited because we have the credit card... :), he has a very hard time being on disability, so we do not mind. Now the front door we have (no window) will go to the back door, and the back door, will go out in the shed, which is my barn. Playing musical doors in a few days. And the shed door, will be used for a baby pig pen, turn sideways. Nothing gets wasted her, I try to recycle everything I can. Dominic loves to call it "Hording" but I have a use for nearly everything. I like to work on my projects with me, and getting very good at taking things apart and painting it or use it for another project. He turned my bookshelf, into a chicken nest with dividers. He is taking a shop class this year, and tells me about all the things he wants to make, so I hope he keeps that mind going, because he is miles ahead of other kids his age.

Weather is feeling more like fall, a few nights with 35, but usually in the 40's. Got home from Mass yesterday afternoon, and not one horse...pony...of steer were in the field. Took a bit to find them, got all the horses in first, and then tracked down the steers and new heifer in or at the edge of the neighbors corn field. Finally got everyone in, and it was getting dark. I guess all that walking and running made me tired because I slept until 7 this morning.

✞ wishing you all a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I will be off work Monday & Tuesday so working the weekend doesn’t seem too bad. We have had rain every evening this week except last evening so Cliff is going to get on the tractor and shred the pastures today. After work I will mow around the area’s left in the home paddock area and weed eat. I have had Deacon’s fly mask on him for 2 days now. The gnats are driving him nuts around his eyes and under his belly. I put swat under his belly to help and used fly spray too but the mask is doing the trick for his eyes. Hugs and a vote for all ✞

Hi Kristy, here's a vote for ya. Well I did something different with Paige today. I made a flag on the end of an old lunge whip. She was like okay, what's this? She sniffed it and was like okay. Then when I went down her front legs, she struck at it, I retreated, did it again and she didn't care. Then up and over her back and down the rear legs, got a cow kick from her, retreated and then did it again and she didn't care. So then you think I could get her to move away from it, heck no. She's best friends with it! LOL! Didn't get them out today. My cell phone was down at Verizon for video's transfers and I had no phone at all, was afraid if someone did something stupid and I needed to call the vet, I couldn't. So hayed and watered, came in and watched College Football! Marion and the blondes.

Hope you have a enjoyable Labor Day weekend.
New heifer...still no name for her...got into the pen with the other 2 steers. They are twice as big as she is. We had put Little Black, in with her hoping he would teach her how to eat grain, since she needs some fat for winter, but he showed her, if you push right her, the gate will move and we can go into the big field. And she listen, so all afternoon, she followed Cookie and Little Black around, and then followed them back in a night. But had to put all the horses and ponies into the pen where the new heifer was in, and everyone was sure ready to run this morning.

Saturday to Mass, and Sunday to Tomahawk for his oldest brother family get together. I get alot of work done when he is not here. All small jobs, but lots of cleaning in the garden and feed it to the little pigs, and their moms. Well another day of driving for Mike today. Yesterday, he took our dryer to Tristan in Eau Claire, (90 some miles), and today to Marshfield a bit over 100 miles to take Mikey in for his wound dr.'s appointment. Hopefully, they can get to the bottom of his toe issues. I didn't go along yesterday, canned tomatoes and make a big batch of green tomato relish. Just packed tomatoes whole in jars, no juice like stewed tomatoes without the celery. Full canner of 7 quarts, and 8 pint size of gr. tom relish. My Mom is going along to visit with her older sister in the nursing home. I get to stay home....saving all my days staying home so I can go to the Neilsville Central Wis Horse Sale on Sept. 20th. 4 day sale, but Saturday is riding horses. Well, our little farm has grown by one...wish I could announce that it was a foal, but not, it is a heifer yearling. She is a Scottish Highlander, they are a shaggy long haired stocky type of cow, with long horns. Right now she is afraid, but we have her in the pen where the ponies and Willow were in at night. Now, to think of a name. We have been working on getting her since last spring. They are not tamed yet, so the guy had a bit of trouble getting them (3) of them into his trailer. Hi Kristy, here's a vote for ya. Well no humidity today, hot however, like about 83 or so, but there was a little breeze. Got Paige ridden again, she's coming back to a better lope, thank goodness! I really think she's still afraid of hurting herself again, so she's backing off! He jog, trot and extended trot are awesome! Had them out for almost 2 hours, I actually had to go and round them up! Since no humidity, no bugs, and they did have their fly sheets on just in case. Finally finished mowing the back side of the indoor, it was bad along the walk! Now for a pasture tomorrow. And a trip to town, won the question of the day on the morning radio station and won $10 worth of scratch off lottery tickets! YAY! Probably go early and take Honey for a ride, she loves to go bye bye's! Marion and the blondes.

Rained again last night, sort of a nice Mother Nature show, lots of heat lightening, but could not have been to exciting, because I slept threw most of it, just woke up at the end, for the show credits. Plan on getting out in the garden, fight my way threw the squash vines and collect more tomatoes and pull more weeds. My brother and family are heading back to Minneapolis this morning to fly back to Alaska. His wife, Cindy, runs a chocolate (home made) candy shop, and was raiding Hobby Lobby for trinkets, she uses on her decorated candy boxes. Horses are all enjoying the big hay fields to eat and get fat for the winter...ugh, I hate to think winter...unless its 90 degrees out.

Enjoy our time with Tristan, short as it was. Takes about hour and half to get there, visited awhile at the trailer, and Mike helped him fix or showed him how to fix a few things. Dominic played with a kitten that one of the roommate has. Dominic has wanted a kitten for a long time, so Tristan told me he thought the littermate might still be available. So he just might be the best and only brother Dominic has, but I know ahead of time his Mom will not let him keep it, but he also know that GrMa will.:) Our grass is the same way, sometimes, its like a hay field. I save the clipping, feed some to the pigs, but dry the rest, and use it for the chicken coop and baby chick pens. Funny, how Mother Nature always seems to keep us busy. In fact, it is pouring outside now.

I got to ride Allie yesterday. She did well but let me know clearly that she wasn't happy about going back to work. I can relate, lol. I'll have to get her out of the roundpen soon though for her sanity.
Hope your week is off to a good start. Take care.

Come visit me, Allie & BJ and his mom,Gracie.

Off to Eau Claire this morning to go for a quick visit with Tristan, my grandson, who is going to linesman school. Taking his little brother Dominic with us. Bring him meat and veggies from the garden, and fresh eggs. Can never stay long enough but always enjoy being around him.

Hi Kristy, here's a vote for ya. Well, hot and humid again! Did a few things this morning and then went to a BBQ for a short time. Got home by 2 pm and it was way to hot to turn them out. Brought them up and cold hosed and let them dry for 10 minutes eating the backyard grass, not safe there either! Killed a big boeing 707 in each one each time! They about dragged me to the barn! Hayed and fresh watered them. Then sweated my butt off mowing the baby pasture and back by the manure pile. Oh ground hog count is not 5 caught and bang bang! And for those of you who know the story, one was drug by crows into idiots backyard and the crows were feasting on it! He came out and had to remove it! I was in the barn watching him, he was like a little girl doing it! I couldn't stop laughing. Shame on me, naw! Marion and the blondes.

Whisper, Willow and the little herd are again sending quick votes. Got alot of little jobs done while Dominic was here. Made a old book shelf, which was in my tack room, into a chicken box nest. Fitted the front with small board, and put in dividers, the filled each with dry grass clippings from the lawn. Then Dominic collected eggs and put one in each hole. Dug up a 40 yr old pneonia plant and planted most of the roots next to the house. Worked on digging out more cockburrs and bringing them to the big pile I have started. Finally, we took him home, he said he was ready for a rest....he likes to work and we pay him each time, and feed that kid good. He loves fried potatoes, so he helps me make them so he can do it at home. We even dug up a few plants and he had baby reds...and some whites fresh from the garden
