Hi, I work with mustangs and groundwork is so important wiht them, your body position really needs to be right if you are to far into there shoulder there not going to go, one of the things i've found the most useful is when lunging to send them back and forth, when you change direction alot it does wonders for keeping them focused, you might already know all this but if you have any questions let me know. oh and by the way your horse looks like he has a personality and a half! My mustang is a BLM mustang too, from Rock Springs, WY. I saw your comment and wanted to comment back to you. Thanks for the compliment on Thunder, I'm still learning what he likes and doesn't like, however I will say he is a smart one. I went out yesterday morning to feed him and found that he got a hold of his barrel ...He's such a joy, learning something new about him everyday.
