The History on the Gypsy Beauties
The earliest records of multi-colored horses (such as the gypsy horse) are from cave drawings estimated to be approximately 20,000 years old. In past times, such multi-colored horses were believed to be omens of good fortune.
The association of the Rom with horses is almost legendary. By tradition, the gypsy horse is involved in each and every aspect of family life...faithfully pulling the vardo by day, yet sufficiently amenable and patient to be the gentle mount of gypsy children when the day is done. Often staked out alongside the road with the family wagon in all types of weather when not "on the move," the gypsy horse lives and thrives for the most part by partaking of the grasses which happen to be growing where it is tethered. I have Gypsy Horses Too!
What a cutie! I have 17 Gypsy Horses, I just love them. I am a Gypsy Horse Breeder on the boarder of Oregon and California. My ranch name is Lucky Charm Ranch, you can come visit our website at: www.LuckyCharmRanch.com. You went to my website and wondered why I have two addresses (Oregon and California) .. Answer...we live on the boarder of Oregon and California. Thanks!I'm glad someone feels the same way.Even this morning,I looked on the new horse club members,and to my disgusting surprise someone had made a fake profile of like my best friend on here's horse!!The story of how they met was even worse.It was something like:My daddy and me saved his life by getting him right before his head got chopped off in the slaughter house!!I did put a really mean comment on it,BUT,there's more.It's my friends horse and I can't let that person get away with this!!So I reported her,but what else can I do?I really don't know.Sometimes fakes anger me so much,but at other times,I just am thinking how stupid they are... I'll have to try the show sheen. we've been using cowboy magic but it's soooo expensive around here for what you get (like $12 for the smallest bottle they make)! Kemah has already started shedding out her summer coat and started putting in her winter one- except it's still averaging about 92-94 degrees everyday! so I don't know what the deal it. do you use any coat/skin supplements?

i have decided my second horse is going to be a vanner! well, i probably won't be getting another horse for a really looooooonng time, but i can always hope. :) tell me about manes! oh my gosh! kemah's is so darn thick i can't even get a brush through it! it's the belgian in her. her tail is the same way- except she manages to pee on it quite a bit, so it gets brushed less often. :D Another vote for Kahlua today!
