How We Met

Well, I grew up in WA. Were mine along with my sisters worlds revolved around Arabian horses. My first lead line show was at the age 2 or 3. By the age of 5, I was showing every weekend with my big sister. Or at least running around the grounds. She was the excellent rider. Me I just wanted to ride. It really didn’t matter where it was in the ring or on our property , or around the little town I grew up in (Roy). I quickly lost interest in the pleasure ring. But man did I love speed. My first rodeo was “The Roy Pioneer Rodeo” on Calico an Arab/Morgan cross. My sister eventually moved out. She is 10 years older than I. Not long after that my parents got this “great” idea to move to Florida we have family here. And so my horse world ended. I am now older an have a family of my own. And after a several year hiatus from being in the horse world. I decided I wanted to get back to my roots. So I went to all the local barns looking for sales & figuring costs. I seen Lady at a barn. I loved her the minute I seen her. She was the barn charity case. The owner was not the most responsible person around. She had some personal issues that took priority over Lady. I approached her to see if she was interested in selling her. She was not, at that time. Or the 3 other times after that I had made offers. So I ended up buying Sasha my Blk. & Wht. She has been a wonderful ride as well. So the woman ended up calling me 1 month after I got Sasha and offered her at 1/2 of what I originally offered. And so now she’s mine. And now I got two great rides. I love Lady. It’s the Arab in her. They are a magnificent breed.
