An amazing poem
Attached below is a copy of the poem I have written in memory of him. Hope everyone enjoys... Somewhere I can feel him still, Our hearts still beat as one. Somewhere I can gaze deep into his eyes, and see him starring back at me. In my dreams I know he's there Waiting to feel the wind in our hair. Racing through fields and dodging through trees, Nothing can stop us from running so free. The thunder from his hooves cry out as they echo, A deafening rumble as they pound the fresh springtime greens. We are unstoppable, one with the wind. It feels like we are flying at this incredible speed, Nothing can catch us, it's only him and me. To feel his muscles ripple beneath me, I know his next stride, his turn or his leap. I can feel him wait for me, to ask more from him To break free from the worries of everyday life. He cries out and he whinnies, as I slip away from slumber As if telling me he'll be waiting for me, for he's still the horse in my dreams. The one I've always dreamed about from the time I was a little girl. He's still the one I dream about, long after he has left And the one I know I can't live without No other will ever do He is the one, I know without a doubt Because our hearts, still beat as one. My heart echoes his hoof beats, May they always thunder through the valley of life. In remeberance of "Dusty Leo Prom" Thanks for the hoof prints you've left in my life. Written by: Katie

Help me find my friend!!
When I came across Dusty it began one of the truest miracles that I've ever experienced in my life. Dusty was a special needs horse, and his story is long and sad. For those of you who can please go to http://www/
and view my blog for Dusty's story, for those of you who can't here is a small run down version of his story.
About 6 years back now, Dusty was in a horrible accident, resulting in a severe injury and had horrible nerve damage to his left back leg. In order to save him, Dusty's owner had decided to have an experimental surgery done to save Dusty's leg, and his life. The surgery diagnosis, Cut and sever Dusty's nerves in his leg. He was only ever given a 1 % chance of a recovery, even with proper care and exercise.
After the surgery, Dusty's owner had a severe stroke, and forgot all about the horse that was cooped up in a 20x20 stall with another horse. For almost a year Dusty shared this stall with another horse, and by the time family realized what was happening, Dusty was almost dead. When I came across him, it brought tears to my eyes, seeing how skinny and sick he looked. But after 3 years of companionship, Dusty and I over came so many obstacles together, and brought his leg back to 99.8% use and feeling again.
The winter of 2005, right before the new year, I had to find Dusty a new home, due to my divorce. Sadly the new owner sold him again within weeks, and I have yet to find out where or who he has gone to.
If anyone has any information on him, or where he is please I beg you, help me find my long time friend again.

Come visit me, Rodeo & Dusty, in memory of my truest friend.
