RESCUE UPDATE!!
unfortunately another horse has joined this page. Peppy, a b/w mini horse gelding, adopted in dec 06, he died november 07 of colic. Skip a bay QH mare, had been thriving in a loving foster home, her family for some reason stopped feeding her and she has lost weight. she is back with the rescue now. Sea Biscuit, is having health issues, i am uncertain to what extent, but he is in his old age and having some problems. I am really sorry about the horses that were too far gone to recover. I think that is so horrible what people do to these animals. They do nothing to deserve it! you are a god send to horses
i really give you a hand for doing what you do i have had my share of rescues here on my farm 3 that i rescued from my sister its so sad and i have turned her in time and again that is how i got into minis i've also rescued a couple of tb's and two quarter horses that i have since found new homes for so once again here is my thanks for doing what you do beth and familyCome visit me, ms dee, cita's queen of hearts(ellie) & baily.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have actually found one not too far from where we live. Actually, I was totally oblivious to this until you got me thinking, we have an old rescued horse at our barn (long time ago rescue tb) and he does lessons. When his health used to be bad, we started a program where we all took our pop cans and recycled them and then used the money for Stan. We called it "stan's can fun" but now that he is healthy, we have been sponsoring a pony at Heaven Can Wait Rescue (I think that's what it's called) a rescue shelter near where we live. I totally forgot about that! But you got me interested. I also visited the web page, some of those stories and pictures are so amazing. Thanks again for all the stuff that you have inspired me to do!
