Height: last time i checked, summer 07, he was like 14.2. meer inches between being a pony and a horse.
Color: line back dun (buckskin with dorsel stripe), white star and white sock
Type of Riding: western, just starting him.
My Horse's Achievements: he used to buck, kick and bite. now he doesn't, took hard work and time. he also now is used to having his hooves picked up, cleaned out and trimmed. he doesn't mind wearing halters, bridles (without bits), blankets, and a saddle pad and saddle. he's still getting used to a bit, the magic secret is to dip it in molasses.
My Horse's Favorite Treat: carrotts, horse cookies
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: roll in dirt (just after i groom him), run around and buck and kick air, get scratched along cheek and face where halter is
Pet Peeves: bitsin his mouth. he doesn't like to open his mouth, for deworming or bits or just to check his teeth. any suggestions to help with that?

How We Met
i got a mare for my 13th birthday, Kitty. she was a rescue horse, taken off of meat truck. she was pregnant, too, and i couldn't ride her. then she had her foal, who my brother owned at the time (since i had Kitty) and named him Joey. He would jump and run around like a baby kangaroo. he was handsome as ever. sadly, when the foal was 6 wks old, Kitty got real sick and had to be put down. we raised Joey on milk powder, which wasn't cheap to get, and his growth was stunted a bit. we had a Nl pony and he rasied Joey, like a step father. a few years later, when 17, my brother gave me Joey as a birthday gift and he became mine. at that time, the neighbours had mares, Joey's testosterone was flowing and he was hard to handle, a young stallion. my dad was the main person to handle Joey. then we moved up on hill, the neighbours had no mares by then, and I began working with Joey and being able to handle him. Now he's 8 yrs. old and I can handle him most of the time, except when bred..

What a cute horse. that is an awesome story too. Have a vote! Also, if you are new on here, watch out because there are alot of fake or cyber-stolen horses on here. People just take pictures off of the internet, make a profile, and call it their horse. It is both lying and stealing and more than that it is wrong. We all need to team together to stop it, and the only way that we can do that is to keep our eyes open and DON'T VOTE FOR FAKES! Thank You! :) Hal & His Gal K, M, ON.

Joey is Beautiful!I love Duns!My friend's horse hates deworming,and putting a snaffle in his mouth also.I really have no suggestions except for giving him,an apple or a treat,and then trying again,but,covering the Dewormer Tube,or bit with the Apple.When he opens his mouth Either Shove the tube in,or gently see if he takes the bit.Also,Flavored bits might work.Hope that helps!Come visit me, Regal.
