This has been a pretty busy week so far. Raining on and off most of the week. I am really happy to say that I am for sure moving my horse on Sunday...can't wait!!! I am so looking forward to all of the new trails and the big outdoor arena. Oh, and the trail/cross country course we are going to build. Here's a vote and have a great day!!! Fancy and I enjoyed a cloudy evening! We were overdue for this show practice and time just hanging out. Fancy did not fret for Trigger one bit, even though Trigger screamed murder every time we got out of his sight. We are expecting rains and clouds all week. But the weekend may be nice. We will try to practice a little each day. It was so much fun! And today was the first day Fancy was ridden since her heel injury. She was great. Like she never missed a beat. I am glad I did not rush her.

♥♡♥ Yep, grey skies changed my plans yesterday morning! I did spring cleaning till nearly 12:00! I ate lunch, and then brushed Deacon and Rocket-fly sprayed and turned them out. I got Whiskey next and bathed him! He looked so pretty...after that I was tired, plum pooped!! So I relaxed and watched them graze. It will be a few days before I can ride around my home area due to the rains!Come visit me, ♥ Whiskey ♥ & ♥ Deacon ♥.

Had some Sadie time today. We both need it everyday. It's getting hot here, so I didn't ride. I put the halter on her and walked her off the property. She was a little nervous, so we took it slow, stopping when she needed to to look around and see that she was okay. Neighborhood dogs were barking at us. She walked a little fast on the way back to the house. Had to keep stopping her to slow her down. She loved it. Going to walk her more often to get her use going off the property. Going to work up to riding her. Last time I rode her off the property, she was nervous and wanted to fight me. She should trust me more now. Hugs and a vote. Went out to check on Sadie when I got home from work last night. She'd torn her fly mask off. It lasted 10 days. Hope to someday move away from the egg ranch. The flies are horrible. I hope all of you moms had a beautiful Mother's Day. I had to work, but didn't mind. Being a mom and loving my sons and they loving me in return is what makes it so special. An emotional week this week. My oldest son, a Msgt in the Air Force, leaves the end of this week for 3 years in Germany. He and his oldest son celebrate their birthdays this week, too. Sassy Miss Sadie's doing good. She's keeping her fly mask on, but has torn holes in it. I dumped her water trough out to clean it and found her old fly mask in it, again. While I filled the trough with fresh water, she blew bubbles in it. So silly. Heat's hitting triple degrees next week. Time to buy another misting system. ♥ I had a really nice day off that included horsey time. I saddled Deacon and rode for a few hours there on the property around our home. When we got back I bathed him from ears to hoofs! I really did the works; he looked so beautiful after his bath. I have a question for my HC friends: how do you wash your horses face? Do you use shampoo, or just water? I was just wondering because I use a wet towel with no shampoo. I do let the hose run on their forelock and I use my fingers to loosen dirt then I wipe the rest of their face & muzzle with a wet towel. I didn’t want to get shampoo or something in their eyes so I thought you all may have a neat trick to share!! Have a beautiful day! Come visit me, ♥ Whiskey ♥ & ♥ Deacon ♥.

There was a baby foal tied to a post and it was pulling back with all its might...it was just sad...they can be started with a gentle method and I know people still use harse methods and man handle horses but it was just a tiny baby. ✞ It hurts my heart to look at the HOTD today…that is no way to start a foal. Maybe old school does or use to but I am a total natural horseman believer. I hate that the baby has a bad start to its life-shame on that owner. I don’t know about the rest of you but I didn’t give congrats and I erased my blogged because it was not very nice what I wrote.

HI, left a vote. Went out today saw two horses. Fell in LOVE with the mare, bought her! I will get her next weekend. She is the sweetest horse! She is gentle, calm, kind, sweet, loving, very willing under saddle, and wants to please you. I felt so comfortable on her! My daughter Allison rode her, she had the biggest smile on her face! She loves her too! So happy, can hardly wait to get her next weekend! Come visit me, Toby & Amber.

Big hi to all. Jessica came out Wednesday with her boyfriend, David. Sadie was bad. While Jessica picked her hooves, Sadie yanked her back hoof away. She bucked a couple of times, too, when Jessica rode her. She did okay with me. The strap on the saddle pinched a bruise on the inside of my left knee. Shouldn't have worn shorts. Found the missing fly mask, too. Jessica and I dumped Sadie's water trough to clean it out, and there it was. It had sunk to the bottom of the trough. I didn't think to check there. ♡ a click on your horseshoe FROM A REGULAR COMPUTER NOT MY PHONE!! Our weather was a little strange this weekend. It was cloudy and rained (lightly) most of Saturday morning. By the afternoon it cleared and was sunny, but it was like that Sunday morning but no rain just fog and then cleared. We went Friday after work to Lake Whitney to visit some friends we ride with. They were camping because he is to have surgery this week and didn’t know when they would get back out. Had a nice visit. My horsey time was spent at home and out in the property around us. Yep-had to break out the fly spray, not any around the face these are the biting ones that get their legs---I hate them!!!! #3 turn out has all “t” post in (27), now we need to put up the wire and add the gates.
