We are having internet problems so I couldn't come on yesterday, but thanks for voting anyways:) You are amazing. Enjoy today's famous horse and fact!

~*~*~* Love is the only thing that can be divided without being diminished *~*~*~

~*~*~*~ *IMPRESSIVE* ~*~*~*~
Impressive (1968-04-15 - 1995-03-20) was born an Appendix American Quarter Horse, however earned his full AQHA registration in 1971. He was the 1974 World Champion Open Aged halter stallion, the first such World Champion in his breed, despite carrying only 48 halter points in total. He is famous for his highly successful progeny, having sired 2,250 foals. Nearly thirty of his offspring went on to be World Champions themselves. Impressive is also notorious as the primary source of the widespread genetic disease known as Hyperkalemic periodic paralysis (HYPP). In his showing days, Impressive changed hands a number of times, perhaps his most famous owner being Dean Landers, who also owned the famous halter stallions Two Eyed Jack, Coy's Bonanza, and Sonny Dee Bar. Although Impressive raced for a short time after Landers sold him to Fennel Brown, he was quickly excluded from any performance discipline due to pedal osteitis, leaving halter as his only choice. His groundbreaking 1974 World Championship soon cemented his role in that discipline. Each time Impressive was resold, his price rose quickly; at one point, an offer of $300,000 for him was refused by Brown, who said "ain't nobody in this world got enough money to buy this horse." Impressive was highly sought after for breeding, despite at one time carrying the outrageously high stud fee of $25,000. He sired a total of 2,250 foals, and as of 2003, was estimated to have in excess of 55,000 living descendants. He was bred for his muscular and refined form, which was passed on to his get often enough to make him at least the #5 all-time leading quarter horse sire when ranked by AQHA points earned by all progeny combined. Perhaps his greatest foal is Noble Tradition, a four-time World Champion stallion in halter, who has gone on to be a highly successful sire himself.

Have a great day! 9 MORE days till CHRISTMAS TIME! Yess:)

Hi, thank you for your vote:) I hope you are having a nice day, and MERRY CHRISTMAS. Sorry so short in a hurry all day. Love ya!

~*~*~ *Love is the meaning of all horses hearts* ~*~*~

I will start to give you guys facts about horse breeds!
~*~*~* The THOROUGHBRED Breed *~*~*~
The Thoroughbred is a horse breed best known for its use in horse racing. Although the word thoroughbred is sometimes used to refer to any breed of purebred horse, it technically refers only to the Thoroughbred breed. Thoroughbreds are considered a "hot-blooded" horse, known for their agility, speed and spirit. The Thoroughbred as it is known today was first developed in 17th and 18th century England, when native mares were crossbred with imported Arabian stallions. All modern Thoroughbreds can trace their pedigrees to three stallions originally imported into England in the 17th century and 18th century, and to 74 foundation mares of English and Oriental (Arabian, Turkoman or Barb) blood. During the 18th century and 19th century, the Thoroughbred breed spread throughout the world; they were imported into North America starting in 1730 and into Australia, Europe, Japan and South America during the 19th century. Millions of Thoroughbreds exist worldwide today, with over 118,000 foals registered each year worldwide. Thoroughbreds are used mainly for racing, but are also bred for other riding disciplines, such as show jumping, combined training, dressage, polo, and fox hunting. They are also commonly cross-bred with other breeds to create new breeds or to improve existing ones, and have been influential in the creation of many important breeds, such as the Quarter Horse, the Standardbred, the Anglo-Arabian, and various warmblood breeds. Thoroughbred racehorses perform with maximum exertion, which has resulted in high rates of accidents and other health problems. Racing has been proven to have a higher fatality rate than all other legal human and animal sports. Also, Thoroughbreds are prone to other health complications, including bleeding from the lungs, low fertility, abnormally small hearts and a small hoof to body mass ratio. There are several theories for the reasons behind the prevalence of accidents and health problems in the Thoroughbred breed, and research continues in the field.

Have a great night! Thanks again for ALL your special support. It means soooooooooooooooooooooooooo very much to me!!

~*~*~* JENNY CAMP *~*~*~
Jenny Camp was a famous horse that competed in the sport of eventing. Jenny Camp is possibly the most famous US army-bred horse. Her sire, the Thoroughbred Gordon Russell, was well-known for his jumping ability, although her dam was of unknown breeding (thought to be part-Thoroughbred, part-Standardbred). Gordon Russell also produced the 1952 bronze medal-winning jumper Democrat. She was poorly conformed, being short-gaited with upright front pasterns, but was found to be very brave and agile. Due to her small size, she was first used as a polo pony; when her jumping prowess was discovered, and she was sent to be part of the three-day team. The small mare was ridden by the great Captain Earl F. Thomson in two Olympics: the 1932 Los Angeles Games and the 1936 Berlin Games. She had great success, winning the individual silver medals at both Olympics as well as the team gold at the 1932 Games. This record makes her one of only three horses to win medals at consecutive Olympic Games; the others being Mark Todd's (NZ) Charisma and Marcroix, ridden by Holland's Lt. Charles F. Pahud de Mortanges.

* Foaled: 1926
* Place of Birth: Front Royal, Virginia Remount Depot
* Sex: Mare
* Height: 15.3 hh (160cm)
* Color: Bay
* Markings: coronary left front
* Breed: Thoroughbred, with some Standardbred blood
* Breeding: by Gordon Russell

I hope you are having a fun day! Thanks again for your help! Love ya.

Hi, thanks for the vote, left you one. Ok, we adopted a puppy yesterday. She is a 5 month old Welsh Corgi. She is red in color and just a doll. We named her Roxy. I will post a pic here in a bit. It snowed 4 inches here yesterday! It is melting away today. Got to see Toby yesterday, he rolled, and I gave him an apple. It is suppose to rain all week now, so I don't think the horses will get to go outside anytime soon. Have a great day! Hope you feel better.

HI, thanks for the vote, left you one. Got to see Toby yesterday, he is great. Chips were delivered over the weekend, and the huge pile is still in the arena, poor Mike hasn't had the time to move it yet. So yesterday, I take Toby's blanket off, put him out in the arena, he rolls a lot, runs around in the arena. Then he decides to CLIMB the huge pile of chips! He was playing King of the mountain, it was just too funny! So, as I go out to get him down and put him back in his stall, he decides that he also needs to pee! HAHA, I am like really Toby, the chips are for everyone, not just you, and you are going on them! LOL!!! I put him back in his stall, and went and cleaned up the soiled chips!

HI, thanks for the vote, left you one. So I took Toby's blanket off, put him in the arena to roll. I tied him up in the isle way, and brushed him. Then, I got his wormer ready. I held my arm behind my back, walked up to him, started kissing his nose and talking sweetly to him, (just like I always do), put my other hand on the other side of his halter, kept kissing and talking, he lowered his head, bam, I stuck the wormer in his mouth and we were done! It was over before he knew what I had done! LOL!!! When he figured it out, he gave me a look, I said "Gotcha"! LOL!!! I threw the box and wormer away, came back and gave him more kisses and talked sweetly to him. He forgot all about it. I put his blanket back on, put him in his stall, and he got his apple and some treats. Works every time! Oh yeah, we were finally able to get a dog! We got a 8 yr. old german shepard mix, we named him Coda! HE is so sweet, he was on outside dog, with really no attention, now he is inside with a lot of atteniton and love! I know I have left a lot of c/p lately, but I just don't have a lot of time now, so sorry if bothers some of you.

HI, thanks for the vote, left you one. IT is 7 out right now! No snow, just very COLD! I got to the barn yesterday, all the horses in their blankets, looked so cute! 3 of the waters froze again. I think those horses don't drink enough throughout the night, and they freeze up! Toby had a thin layer of ice on his, I watched him break through it, and drink, he then licked the ice in it! Very cute! I took his blanket off, and put him in the arena to roll. He rolled 4 different times! I went in, and gave him a big hug, he hugged me back, like he was saying "thank you, I really needed that"! I put him back in his stall. I put his blanket back on before I left. Mike had to take the day off, to work on those waters again. He used the blow torch to un freeze the waters. Got to go out again this morning, to clean stalls. TGIF everyone!

Come visit me, Toby, Zip N Fire & Amber.

Hi, thanks for the vote, left you one. Sunny but cold here today. Just got back from the barn. Toby was out trying to get the other horses to play with him, and they didn't want to. So they started going at it over the fence. Toby usually doesn't get the hint! LOL!!! They broke the fence. Then Toby just stood there looking at the broken line waving in the wind. It was pretty funny! I will be on tomorrow, but it will be late, having a barn Christmas party, so when I get back from that I will get on here and let you know how it went and what prizes I won. Have a great weekend.

HI, thanks for the vote, left you one. I rode yesterday, first time in two weeks. Toby was kind of a stinker while I was grooming him and tacking him, he just wouldn't stand still. So, I decided to lunge him first before I got on. He starts to walk, then he trots (on his own, without me telling him too) which he never does, then he goes into a canter, again on his own, then he starts bucking like he is in a rodeo! He just keeps bucking and bucking, he noticed that I wasn't moving so he stopped. I send him off the other direction and he just takes off really fast! Ok, so someone is feeling really good today! LOL!!! It took about 20 minutes before he finally settled down and listened to me. I got on, and he did great!

Good to hear from you.
