How We Met

Iam a Large Animal Investigater with the Missouri State Humaine Society. Every 2 years an Arabian Farm,(Barefoot Arabians)here in Southern Mo., donates 2 foals to our rescue ranch. These foals are usually not the "Perfect Arabian" and we all know, if they are not perfect, they wouldjust as soon destroy them rather than raise, train, etc. I had told my Director that I wanted the first gray Arabian that was not spoken for. 6 years later, my baby was delivered to his new home. I literally, dropped to my knees, crying when my Director pulled into my driveway. I think I cried for weeks, every time I looked at him, I would cry. He was so....beautiful- ! You see, now I am 47yrsold. Horses were my life from the time I was 4. You see, when I was 23, I lost my Mother, inherited my Mentally Retarded older Sister with, baby and,I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. At 25, I was forced to sell my two horses, as well as stop giving riding lessons, traing etc., to take care of my sister. So... I went over 10 years without even owning a horse.
