C&P Regarding Sandy, Jenny, and Tadpole
Yeah! I sure hope we get to show her!! ♦ Please do NOT vote for Jenny and Tadpole, though they are cute. :) I couldn’t resist putting them up, so many people loved Jenny and wanted to see Tadpole! I am still not sure about Jenny’s pregnancy, all I know is that we got her in May and donkeys go 13 months of pregnancy, and IF she is, it was accidental, something we don’t know about. I HAVE NOT met Tadpole yet, unfortunately! I will try to keep EVERYONE updated on Jenny’s pregnancy, Sandy’s training, and Tadpole’s cuteness. :) I don’t want to win HOTD yet, someone else should win the honor. I would rather you all to please vote on Sandy’s page. Also, to my (already best) friends: please STILL continue to do your daily blogging on Sandy’s page, too. I’m still not sure that I will have time for them, so I’m sorry if I DO delete them eventually, but I will try to keep them up. If I ever find out that I will keep them, I will try for HOTD, but I won’t get competitive and I will remember that it’s not about the votes, it’s about the friends; I’ve already learned that the hard way. UPDATE! C&P Sorry!
we saddled big sandals saturday and it was a hoot ! she could care less. she was a little afraid (for only one second). we held her in the hallway and we threw the blanket up there and she didn’t care and then i brought the saddle out and let her see it and then dropped it on the ground at her feet. she looked at it and bit a place in the side of it and tried to pick it up ! i kept putting it against her and then plop ! i would drop it all around her while it made all kinds of noise and she just stared at it and then would try to grab it and pick it up to play with it. she let us put it all over her and on her and even let me pull it off her hind end and it hit the ground all around her feet and then she was bored and not even looking at it. maybe it has paid off by letting her have so many noisy toys for a year. she was HILARIOUS! we backed her with the lead rope. she would drop her head level and slide backwards as far as we asked her to by just asking back and shaking the rope. she is a SMART girl !

yeah i did alot of ground work and " manners " at the other farm this fall when she had to stay up cause of her knees. she was so bored and after work i would get her out of the stall and hand walk her because she could't be turned out. i taught her to trot when i would trot off and to stop suddenly when i do by not even pulling her lead rope. she learned to watch me instead of the big YANK on the lead rope. she hates that and would much rather do it the easy way. we worked on backing and going forward but not clucking to her or anything. she will watch me and do what i do. she is ROTTEN. and she gets her feelings hurt easy when she does the wrong thing. thats why i love her so much she reminds me so much of studley (other dearly loved horse). always wearing their heart on their sleeve. they both turn their head away and wont look at me when i scold them for doing somethng wrong. it almost breaks your heart !Kate, Tri-Cities, TN.

Exactly!!!! I havent been able to ride in a month and I'm like DYING to get in the saddle again, it is definately a drug for us horse lovers!!!! It's a Henri De Rivel, cross country/all purpose saddle. Shoo loves it too, its funny cause when I put this saddle on him he just moves fancier and a lot better, I think he's more comfy cause it's got a lot of padding for him (and me). Hey, have u read the Twilight series? If not u should cause it is SOOOOO good, I thought people were just obsessing over it cause it's a movie and all but it's SERIOUSLY ADDICTING!! Yeah, I read that Secretariat is his grandfather. So is Empty Pockets yours? I read the 'How We Met'section, I think you should get to kep him soon! (Zambo that is.) OMG! Thanks!!! Well, all of Sandy's info is in her profile, because I don't live with her, I don't get info everyday. Um, the latest update on Sandals is that well, first her knee growth plates aren't doing so good. She is 18 months and 15.2 HH, so the growth plates couldn't keep up when she grew so fast and big. She is on a special diet with joint supplement. She hates it. She is also on 'limited play' because she LOVES to run (we are even thinking about putting her in the Paint Racing) so if we just put her out in the pasture, and let her go all willy nilly, she would seriously damage her knees permenatly, and she couldn't do the things that we are planning to do with her. So on Feb 6, she is off diets and joint supplement, and can go out into a bigger pasture. (Right not she's in a little red fenced corral, as seen in the pictures.) Sandals is now called Jack BRAT Sandy, she is such a big baby, she absolutly loves being around people and throws a fit when I am not in the stall with her. Perhaps because she likes to chew on my clothes, boots, phone, and camera??? Hehe! Well, get back to me soon, I think I will have new pictures soon. ♥ Sandals Kate, Tri-Cities, TN.

omg!! how r u still alive!!! I couldn't handle that!! well i started over cross rails and then took himover bigger things. there's really nothing you can do to help them execpt to learn to jump well and ride with confidence, they are really the ones who need to do the work. the more you try to help them over a fence the more they will not balance correctly. seeya ~Caitlyn & Shoo Come visit me, Samara, ~*Shooter*~ & Cherokee.

hey how are you guys??? Any closer to getting Zambo? thanks, Shoo loves jumping!! we've been jumping around 2 foot 6 inches. next year we'll go higher. but we've been jumping 2 foot 6 with a 2 foot spread. Coin sucked at racing! LOL. I can't even find a record of him racing online, but the rescue we got him from said that he did in fact race. I bet Zambo would have been an AMAZING race horse! He's so tall and muscular. :) Come visit me, Coin, Golden Lyric & Pelican♥Beach.

Well, Lyric went to a new home. He was lame when we got him, so we 'fixed' him and sold him to be a spoiled pasture horse. :) Then we got Coin. He's my little sister's horse. He's HUGE. Not just tall, but also big boned and LONG. lol He's a real pain on the ground ( likes to bite), but a dream to ride. He's trained in dressage, so he's really fun. Whats up with you? How's Zambo & Pockets? Shoo and I are doing GREAT!! We have a total of 53 ribbons now. We've been jumping 2 foot 6 with a 2 foot spread. SOOOOOO FUNNNN!
