How We Met

this is a long one....

ok it all started a month or two before christmas and my aunt accidently spilled the beans and asked if my dad caved in about getting pocket.... i of course had no idea what she was talking about (my dad dislikes horses completely and says that if i got a horse and it got sick then apparentally we would loose the house. he said horses are a waste of money and too expensive to take care of.). when i went home i asked who pocket was... the next day i was shown a picture about her and information as well. i work at a horse and rescue called ivelol harele boarding rescue and retirment and i have volunteered there for almost a year now. my boss (Jody) was trying to find free horses on the internet at horse groups that she was in for months. she was sooo certin about this horse she did not tell me about it and went straight to my mom. after weeks and weeks of hopeful e-mails and praying, on december 25, 2007, the phone rang. it was jody. she said, "I'm sorry Sabrina, but pockets owners had financial problems and had to get rid of some horses... sorry, pockets gone." i started crying and i moped arround and looked at the drawing that i drew of pocket based on an internet picture.

2 hr later i got another call from jody saying that she was in appleton and the horses needed to be fed. i was directed to feed the horses at the end of the barn first bk there was a stall down at the end with two horses in it and she didnt want them acting up and getting hurt. when i got there i started feeding and then when i came to one of the stalls and glanced in i dropped the hay and covered my mouth and started crying... pocket was there, as pretty as could be in the stall eating hay that was already provided. jody came out from behind pockets butt with a camera (that actually turned off when she tried to take a picture and i guess pockets butt was in the way too :). quarter horses CAN be known to have bubble butts lol)
so there you have it... two days before christmas at the age of 15 i finally got a horse. i have wanted a horse ever since i knew what one was.

omg!! dreams do come true even if there unexpected!!! see even before i was born we always had horses, but they were minis!!! so in 2006 for christmas my dream came true and i was soo happy i didn't even want to open up anymore presents!! i found out that all my neighbors knew and were all in on it but i love him to death!! i DEFIINETLEY gave you a vote since our stories are so much alike. and i was wondering if you could please come and give oreo a vote i'm trying to get him HOTD!!! hi! me and my horsechannel friends are trying to get Midnight Horse Of The Day. Midnight is a 8 yr black Mustang from Cold Lake and he really deserves to get HOTD he is a great horse and is lots of fun. he used to be a wild pony and has come a long way with trusting people. just search for Midnight and he is the really short black one from Cold Lake his pic shows him and his owner in the snow. leave a vote and maye a comment, thanks alot. Welcome to Horsechannel !! She is so beautiful!! I think that if I got a horse I'd faint,or die.Anyways,I LOVE HER!
