Big hi to all. I got back yesterday. Was so hard to leave. Austin and I had an amazing time. We ate out a lot, went to a couple of movies, Eric took Austin go Karting, Austin and the grandkids played in the backyard pool, cooked out a couple of times, Eric took us on a tour of the Base and to check out a plane on the flightline, spent lots of time with the grandkids, went to the Harley Davidson store in Macon, to church, shopping, etc. Got to do more in 10 days than we do in months. My mom came down and spent a couple of nights with us. So wonderful. Hadn't seen her in 4 yrs. Austin and Eric had a couple of jam sessions. ...When I got home, my dogs were thrilled. funny horse camp moment today....little 8 yr old trotting on godiva when godiva begins coughing and farting at the same time! i said, "what did you eat for breakfast??" and the little girl was mortified! we all got a good laugh! Come visit me, Sing & Herd.

Thanks for all the well wishes for my trip. I'm excited. Austin and I are flying Delta. I picked an airline where you have to pay extra for everything. Only plan to take 1 suitcase for Austin and I together. Costs too much to wear clothes on vacation. And everything will be okay here while I'm gone, or Rick will know it. Love you all and a vote. Got enough hay delivered to last until I get back from Ga. Leaving the 31st of May and will be back June 10th. Rick will be taking care of my animals, trees and plants. Have to make him a list. Big hi! Austin and I stopped by the feed store and picked up Sadie and Star's 4 in 1 shots. They'll get them Saturday morning when Maria, Sadie's former owner, comes out to give them to them. My girls should be safe. They don't go off the property and are never exposed to other horses. The store was out of the shots, anyway. I fell in love with a baby chick there, too. There were chicks and baby ducks. The ducks were hogging all of the attention and the chick kept fighting it's way to the front of the pen to see us. Of course, it kept getting trampled on by the ducks. All so cute! Got cats, so can't have any of them....Rick's doing great. He finds out on the 24th when he'll be able to go back to work. He'll have to drive from the airport and back to it to pick us up and will be driving it to work at first when he goes back to work. Ya'll please for my car! He'll be staying home and taking care of the animals for me. I'll still worry. Got to pray and relax. And yes, I love horsey movies. Nothing's more graceful and beautiful than a horse.....Austin's finished with the 9th grade. My baby's growing up. And Eric's been promoted to Master Sergeant! Sews on his stripes next year. ****Up Date on Gold Metal****Stopped by the farm and took a couple new pictures(stop by and take a peek. Looks like the tenant are moving out. All his animals are gone. So this is good for Gold Metal and his family. They will now have there 20 acres back for pasture. Time to put weight back on. They have received help, and are being watched closely.

Out break of EHV-1 in 6 Western states.he states affected so far are Arizona, Utah, California, Idaho, Washington and Colorado. The infected horses had all attended a National Cutting Horse Assoc. show in Utah in early May. Several horses have already been euthanized.Come visit me, Aces Oreo Cookie & Golden Metal.

There's no better way to spend a beautiful Monday afternoon than with your horse. Austin and I had nice rides on Sadie. She's so beautiful and such a blessing. Got her a large fly mask from Horse.com. It fit her big head pretty good. Was afraid a smaller one would be too tight. Love and a vote. I got to ride yesterday with my dad and we took Beauty and Boots. My dad rode Boots and I'm so glad. We were going down to the creek and well we have to go down a hill to get there, well Boots wouldn't go at all my dad had to get off and pull and pull and then I tried. Boots keep going back so she hurt my arm so my dad took like half an hour to get her down this little hill. Then at the same time if Boots doesn't go Beauty won't go. So I had to get off of Beauty and had to pull her too . Beauty would go but she would try to bite me and almost step on me.
After we finally got them down the hill we took them in a field by a creek and well they both went great in the field but then trying to get them out of the field was so hard again. We both had to get off and lead our horses up to the rode. Before I got off of Beauty she had bucked a couple times. So it wasn't the best ride but on the way back they did just fine.
Boots was well trained she didn't bite she didn't kick she just wouldn't go down that hill.

Big Thursday hi. My friend, Lisa, came over yesterday with her daughter and grandson. Her daughter, Katrina wanted to ride. I had no idea she was so inexperienced. I held Sadie while she stood on the bucket, then mounted without using the stirrup. I was so surprised that Sadie stood still as Katrina struggled to get on. She let Sadie go where she wanted. Most of you know Sadie well enough by now to know she didn't go far at all. She did walk under the tree several times almost scraping Katrina off the saddle. Sadie did Austin like that, too, but Austin doesn't allow it, anymore. She, then, parked her big behind next to the trampoline letting Katrina know to get off. Austin trained her to do that, too. I had to explain how to dismount, because she didn't know how. If Sadie wasn't such a good horse, things would've been so ugly. Katrina was afraid of her, and she knew it, but behaved herself. Then, little Anthony got a ride. He didn't like it. And then broke out in rashes. Poor kid's allergic to horses! Anyway, everyone survived, and I realized what a good girl Lady Sadie is.
