Color: Thoroughbreds are most often Bay,Black,Chest- nut,and Grey.They can be other colors too,though:)
Type of Riding: All of you know that Thoroughbreds are Best known for Racing but they can be ridden in other disciplines: Thoroughbreds are ridden English most of the time,but sometimes are ridden Western too!They are Great Eventers,and Cross-Country Jumpers,and Excel in Dressage Also.Their Abilities are endless!

My Horse's Favorite Treat: Probably Apples and Carrots like most other Horses:)
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Thoroughbreds usually have thin,brittle hooves,so they more than likely wear shoes year round:)
Pet Peeves: Thoroughbreds are known to have high-strung tempermants,but make great riding horses.

For those of you who didn't get it:Sure..they race,but is that ALL?NO!!Thoroughbreds are some of the tallest horses in the world,and are great for riders who just can't ride their pony anymore for fear of their feet touching the ground from in the saddle.Thoroughbreds are rarely ridden Western,but that idea has not gone extinct just yet.Most of United States non-racing Thoroughbred owners,trail ride with their horses;it's a great past time,and Thoroughbreds are great Trail companions!The other discipline that most owners ride is English.OF COURSE!!Thoroughbreds are one breed that most always are amazing jumpers!! If you go to an English horse show,and don't see at least ONE Thoroughbred,you may have to call 911,becuase something is terribly wrong(I wasn't 100% serious about that,so please don't call the police:)Anyways,to make my point,Thoroughbreds LOVE to jump!Thoroughbreds are known for being great English and Trail Riding horses,so if you're looking for your next Jumper,or Trail Companion: You should Think of the The THOROUGHBRED HORSE..If you have any questions or comments on the breed,please be sure to ask on ~ The Thoroughbred Horse~ page!This was the March ~The Thoroughbred Horse~ Newsletter!Come visit me, ~The Standarbred Horse~(SHC), ~The Miniature Horse~(mHC), ~The Quarter Horse~(QHC), ~The Paint Horse~(PHC), ~The Mustang Horse~(MHC), ~The Appaloosa Horse~(ApHC), ~The Thoroughbred Horse~(THC) & ~The Arabian Horse~(AHC).

can i join. i just got an ex-race horse. he was being staved, so i went through a rescue and now he is mine. he use to race under the name Holme on Time. but now once he puts on weight, he will be a western trail horse. i feel that after all he has been through. he deserves an easy life.Come visit me, homer.
