I am from Chillicothe, OH and I've been a Club Horse member for 5 years, 3 months and 3 days

Nicknames: He was called "Peanut" when I bought him, but I don't know if it was the only name he's had. Anyway, he told me he hated being called "Peanut." He said his previous owner pronounced it with a nasaly "Peeeee" sound at the beginning. He wanted a better, more fitting name, so we came up with Dakota Wildfire. I believe it suits him much better.

Type of Riding: We ride the trails around home, wooded paths, power line clearings. Also, we go to parades, and he seems to like that. We have done a few group trail rides, but it's usually just Dakota and me.

My Horse's Achievements: When I first started riding him in 1994 he shied at every blue line the water company had on the road. He also feared those scary weekly advertisers hanging from frightening mailboxes. Now he doesn't even pay attention to them. He is learning to bow and hug. Hopefully we can learn several tricks to keep his owner amused and give him some challenges.

My Horse's Favorite Treat: Apple flavored horse treats from the feed store. But look at his pictures. He sticks his head in the living room window for Teddy Grahams.

My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Dakota seems to enjoy being in the cool woods when it's hot outside. He also likes to stand right beside the steps leading to the front porch.

Pet Peeves: He likes to be in front when we ride with a group. He does not like to walk on gravel.
