How We Met

When I first started working with montana he was 3 years old, and had very little trust towards humans..Within a week, I gained that horse's trust and never lost it. Montana was originally my mom's horse, but then decided to give him to me..I've owned montana for 4 years now, and I can get him to do just about anything, and he wont fight me at all..I could never sell my horse cuz he means the world to me..and right now he is back in Wisconsin, and I'm down in texas..I'm hoping to be reunited with him soon, i miss him a lot.

Hi! My name is Navajo. I'm a 29yr old Gelding Appaloosa Horse from Stevens, PA. I am white/grey with small and large black spots but mostly white/grey. I get called Navajo, Navi, & Gentle Giant. I was loved by my owner, and I loved her more than anything. I was a carrige horse at one point but they (my previouse owner) ran me to hard or something and I hurt my leg. I was sold to the girl that I love dearly, and been at her home for two years July 2010. I was sold by her this year and I came to a new home. Where she thought I would do better, and make some special friends. She is the best owner I have had ever since I hurt my leg; she was there for me. I love her!

~~~>*RED HOT LOPIN' LILLY#184389*<~~~
Hi My name is Lilly. I am a 5yr old Mare Appaloosa Horse from Raleigh, NC. I am a chestnut/sorrel; despite her solid color, I am full Appaloosa. I get called just Lilly. The person that showed me had me start boarding at a barn. Me/my current owner started to get to know each other. She then sooner then ever fell deeply in love with me, and is now leasing me, and now on September 22nd they will make a decision to buy me or not! I'm thinking they WILL! I really really love my home and I think I will love it better if I was in mom Olivia's hands:)
~~~>*UNO#174385*<~~- ~
Hi! My name is Uno. I am a 7yr old Gelding Thoroughbred from Sandy, UT. I am dapple grey with black mane, tail, and legs. My show name is FROSTING ON CAKE. My current owner has been riding for 3 1/2 years now, and that was the time she wanted a horse of her own. She looked for a horse for about 2 months. Every horse she tried was not working out. Mom's friend found this Thoroughbred breeding, racing, and retired horse ranch. Her friend gave mom the website and she was looking through all the horses for sale. None if them were interesting. Then she saw ME....ME at the bottom of the page. She said I was so beautiful and so perfect. She found him in Califorina, so she drove all the way out there just for me. When she saw me, I was out of shape, and just not well. She knew that she could fix me up. The day she saw me was the day I knew I loved her. I nuzzled her trying to get her to understand I did not want her to leave. Then she brought me home and I knew I found my FOREVER HOME!

Today is the last Paint horse fact I will give you guys. Tomorrow and till the end of this month, I will talk about famous horses. I will give about 3-4 a day. Anyways, THANK YOU for your support on Hollywood throughout this month! This really really really means a lot to me. I really really really can't wait to see who wins:)

~@~%~$~ PART 4: APHA ~$~%~@~
The APHA also has programs such as PAC which is an open show program, in which Paint Horses are rewarded for their performance in other events such as show jumping which is not always included in the APHA hosted shows. They also have a trail program which records and rewards Paint horses and their owners for time spent in saddlpleasure riding or trail riding.

Hi! Thank you for your amazing votes:) Left you one! Sorry if I didn't get ALL my blogging in yesturday. Since we were busy this week and could actually through a big party for my sister, we did it yesturday. It was one SURPRISE party I tell you! We had a nice dinner with her friends, our youth pastors, and our cousins came. And then we went to a comendy show:) It was so much fun! Anyways, how have you been? How is the weather? Today is RAINY, but yesturday was warm but more cold-ish and SUNNY! YAY! So, here is your daily Paint horse fact!

~@~#~$~ PART 3: APHA ~$~#~@~
The APHA currently registers horses that exhibit the overo (which, under APHA categories, includes sabino), tobiano, and tovero spotting patterns, as well as solid colored horses with Paint bloodlines. It also keeps track of each horse's performance and progeny record.It allows registration of Paint to Paint breedings, as well as Paint to Quarter Horse and Paint to Thoroughbred. They allow live cover, artificial insemination, shipped cooled semen, frozen semen and embryo transfers. The APHA sponsors horse shows and holds an annual World Championship Paint Horse Show in the early summer. They also offer racing and added money to Paint horses competing in open shows held by the National Snaffle Bit Association and the National Reining Horse Association.

I Would LOVE to Help!
Hi! Thanks for the vote. Left you one for today. Hope all is well, and here is your Paint horse fact for today.

The American Paint Horse Association (APHA) is a breed registry for the American Paint Horse. It is currently headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. It was founded in 1965 with the merging of two different color breed registries that had been formed to register pinto-colored horses of Quarter Horse bloodlines. One of these organizations was the American Paint Quarter Horse Association (or APQHA) and the other was the American Paint Stock Horse Association (or APSHA). The APQHA was formed in 1961 in Abilene, Texas, mainly to register cropout horses from the matings of registered Quarter Horses. They also allowed the registering of non-cropouts ("solids") who had Quarter Horse conformation and bloodlines. The APSHA was formed in February of 1962. The APSHA registration rules differed from APQHA in that they excluded "gaited" horses and mandated that horses that were mainly dark colored must have a minimum of three white spots three inches wide on their body, and that mostly white horses must have a dark spot at least six inches wide on their body. Both registries agreed to merge in 1965, although the APHA calls the APSHA its forerunner.

To be Continued....

Have a great day; THANKS PIPPIN FOR VOTE #4000!! And to all who got her to that point! I love you ALL!

HI! Thanks for your amazing vote for Hollywood's run. How is your weather? Mine is rainy; rainy; and more rainy. Haha! Hope all is well, hope you enjoy today's Paint horse fact:)

Paint horses are subject to stricter requirements for registry. According to the American Paint Horse Association (APHA), a horse may be registered as a paint if it has proven paint, quarterhorse, or thoroughbred parentage. Both sire and dam must hold registrations with the APHA, AQHA, or Jockey Club. One parent must be registered APHA. In addition, a Paint horse must have a minimum amount of contrasting color areas. These must be documented photographically, showing white hair and unpigmented skin underneath. Paint horses generally appear in combinations of white and a darker color: bay, black, buckskin, chestnut, dun, grey, grulla, liver chestnut, palomino, roan, or sorrel. Markings vary considerably with each individual horse. Generally, markings are asymmetrical.

Have a pleasent day; H♥D♥D #157076

Hi! Here is your daily to thank you for your vote for Hollywood. TOday was a GREAT day for me. Tomorrow, my mom said we will call the owner of Quincy and see how he is doing. Boy oh boy, Quincy is my big baby, and I will never let him go! Anyways, how was your day? How is the weather? It is sunny and warm but more cold...ish. Well, gotta run! Talk soon:) ALSO; I wanted to imform everyone that I am very happy that my friend Joey/Betsy the mule is back online! Have a great day:) Erin

It's important to note that while a Paint Horse may register itself as a Pinto, a Pinto may not register as a Paint Horse unless it meets the breed's strict bloodline requirements. The American Paint Horse owes its heritage to the narrow-sighted Quarter Horse Association. It excluded those horses that had a pinto pattern and horses that were born with white spots that were located above the hocks and knees. Because of its large fan base, enthusiasts of these colorful stock horses formed a vast array of organizations to preserve and promote the paint horse. In 1965, these groups merged into the American Paint Horse Association. Though a popular show horse, the American Paint Horse of today has a willing attitude for work that makes it equally pleasurable at the ranch, rodeo, trail, or racetrack.

Hi from Kc and Lady
I can imagine from his picture! Good luck with the Buck skin! My 3 yearold horse Joker is pretty easy to train at least most of the time. He catches on to things pretty fast, inless of course he,s decided to be a brat which seems to happen pretty often. Lady on the other hand is a fast learner with ground work but not so good any where else! Have fun with Montana!

Hi from Kc and Lady
Well Lady has a bad back and so far none of the great trainers around here have been able to give her good riding manners ( meaning not tring to run away with you or buck you off as hrd as possible) So I only ride her when my mom isn't around or else she goes nuts! Chester is pretty well saddle broke except he loves to run you into fence posts and buck you off. And Joker isn't saddle broke so I mostly ride Chester. But if you can control Lady (for the most part), she's awsome to ride!
