Type of Riding: I'm teaching her Barrels, poles and hairpin. We do a lot of trail riding, she loves chasing wild turkeys
My Horse's Achievements: Biting Phillip in the chest b/c he wouldnt quit poking her nose and maknig motor boat sounds on her muzzle. I told him she was gonna bite him and she did!! Good for her! I dont allow my horses to bite but hey I warned him and so did she.
My Horse's Favorite Treat: Oranges! Good thing we live in FL and go riding in the orange grooves.
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Gallop, Buck when slowing down from a gallop
Pet Peeves: Phillip, Snakes

How We Met
The owner of the barn where I keep my other horse Mojo at said I could ride her b/c mine wasnt old enough to be broke yet. The history I was given was a man in South central FL bought her from GA. When she arrived at his house (which was having a new roof put on) he pulled her out of the trailor saddled up and got on. She threw him off and knocked him out, so that was the last time he rode her. He then had a trainer come rider her who she threw off twice. So she was put in the pasture for 6 months untill Missi (the barn owner) bought her. She bought her b/c she had always wanted a grulla horse. However she didnt like riding her so she stayed in the pasture for 14 more months untill I came along. I got to the barn one day and one of the kids was riding her and I was like I wanna ride her!! So she let me. What a lazy horse! She wouldnt go forward for anything barly got a trot out of her. So I started riding her on a regular basis for about 8 months. During which time I developed a very strong bond with her and she went from a horse with no personallity that could have cared less about people, to always having her ears up and loving everyone. Toward the end of Oct 07 Missi came to me and told me that she had two choices. She could either take Azora and put a barrel patteren on her and use her as her barrel horse. My eyes started to well up and I felt this sinking feeling in my stomach. Or, the other thing she could do is sell her to me. SOLD!! My dream had finally come true. I didnt think she would ever sell her beloved grulla but she did, to me!! So on Nov 1st I paid Missi for Azora and together we shared a chocolate halloween cupcake as horse and owner..

A Vote From Gypsy!
Can you help us get this horse HOTD? Today, I would like you to meet IronClad.He was a very special horse who went over the Rainbow Bridge June 11, 2008 at the age of 14. He was a beautiful chestnut Selle Francais stallion who loved to jump, and had a special bond with his owner.IronClad loved carrots, and hated it if he knocked a jump down. He was a wonderful horse with a big heart, but he couldn't beat the bout of colic that took his life. You can find IronClad by going to the web address at the top of the page- the set of numbers on the end are the horse's profile numbers. A Darlin!
She's just plain adorable! I had the same issue with Moon.... That girl just didn't want to break from a walk! Talk about mellow! But just like ya'll, the more time I spend with her, the more I see her loosin up, and be more expressive! I have only had her a couple of months, but she's improved by leaps and bounds! Although, now the canter is ner Arch Nemesis!Come visit me, Moonlight Gal.
