This horse is unbelievable. She is totally, 100% bombproof and is the best broodmare I have ever seen. She has such a sweet and gentle personality.

Pet Peeves: I honestly do not know of any. Nothing bothers her!

How We Met
Amber and Zoe are both doing well and are joined by a few boarders and cousin's horses. Although I have not seen them much this year I'm looking forward to spending more time with them over the winter. I have not been totally horse anemic though - I often care for two mini donkeys and three mini horses (I shall have to get pictures of them on here soon) and also a good friend purchased a Quarter Horse gelding to join his Paint mare so I have been able to ride more regularly and just enjoying having horses close by to love instead of three hours away like Amber and Zoe..

Any one enjoying any horse shows this weekend or any riding?
FANCY'S PERCEPTIONS:

Little Cowboy went to see the Avengers Thursday night with his older brother.
Buttercup has been acting like a bucking rodeo horse. Then my brother got a cramp in his leg. LOL
Friday I used the clippers on Fancy for the second time. I allowed plenty of time for desensitizing. She was very good and seemed to enjoy the vibration of the clippers on her chin. It was funny, the way she kept moving her chin towards the clippers when I would move them away.
Saturday Fancy and I attended our 2nd horse show. This was a very first show for Cowboy and Trigger. There was a lot more horses competing in each class this time!
I was not able to keep up with how many horses were in each class this time. Fancy got 5th place in Open Halter all mares and 3rd place in Adult Western Non-Trotting. Fancy didn't place in Adult Halter English or Western this time.
Trigger was on his best ever behavior! Cowboy and Trigger placed in each event they entered! They got 4th place in Youth Western Walk/Jog, 2nd place in Youth Catalog Race, and 4th place in Youth Flag Race. Cowboy and Trigger received lots of comments on how they seemed perfect for one other. My little duo made a ton of friends of all ages. The farm dog took a liking to them too. People were saying that dog would have to go home with Cowboy and Trigger. OH NO, Can't afford to feed any thing else! LOL :~)

Hi, left a vote. Rode Toby yesterday. It was 79 here yesterday, lots of sunshine, felt good. My goal for the day was to ride Toby outside and back to the scene of the crime! Hadn't ridden outside since I got bucked off last July and broke my wrist in 2 places, so in my mind it was time to go and do it. I started out in the arena first. I lunged Toby before I got on, he was listening and doing really well. So I got on and we walked, trotted, and then cantered. When I asked him to canter, he took off! When we got into the turn of the arena, he started bucking! I managed to stay on. During the bucking I said "WHOA" and he stopped! I was chuckling to myself, like, that really worked! LOL!!! I then got off, and lunged him with purpose. Got back on, asked for the canter and he was a good boy. He was tired and relaxed, so I thought now would be a good time to go outside. He did really good, of course the cows weren't out! LOL!! Anyway, I did ride him outside back to the scene of the crime, and he did really good. Glad I got that out of the way! Thanks for the info on ear pinning! Buttercup is doing much better each day. Monday she did not pin her ears as if she were irritated. While we moved around her, she did lay her ears down a little as if to be listening. I think she just needs to trust being in a new place with new people. My brother only sat on her a minute Sunday, but Monday he did ride her a few minutes! And she was very good for him!

Big hello. Because of my slow internet, I've become the queen of C/P. Please know I love and appreciate each one of you and thank you so much for voting for Sadie. ........I wish everyone had had the chance to have met Joanna and Pixie Dust. She was such a beautiful spirit, an angel amongst us. Those of us who knew her, loved her very much. It was easy to. We honor our beautiful friend with each vote we place for others. And Pixie Dust was amazing herself. She was used to educate others and she entertained and brought smiles to so many. They both left behind a legacy of love and smiles. In their darkest of hours, they both inspired and encouraged us. Facing death didn't stop them. Pixie's love of Joanna was a refection on the beautiful person Joanna was. Hi! My name is Navajo also known as Navi or Gentle Giant. I am a 15 hand, 29yr old gelding Appaloosa Horse from Stevens, PA. I am a ghost appaloosa with various sized black spots. I was a bareback kind of guy. I didn't being sprayed in the face with anything, but I love eating, being out in the pasture, and to ROLL in the MUD!! Mom bought me from her cousin who thought I was ugly, which totally broke moms heart. Mom has had me for 2 years since July 2010, until sadly she had to sell me. I didn't go far away from her, I was just far enough for her to come see me. So I guess all was good!!! I have been a member of HC for 3 years, 3 months and 1 day. Hi! Here is a sunny day vote, thank you for visiting us :) Not much today, just went to church and then went to brunch with my parents. Fun day, and it is just beautiful again today! Tonight I have youth group so I am excited. Last night, with my brother and his band, went really well. It was very very fun!! My brother's, Ryan, friend Brogan did a box drum with his 12 string guitar. He is weird. Lol! But it was very amazing. About 10 people came to see, and then they came to our house to have dinner so it was a party.

She was a 21 year old Shetland pony from Bloomsfield Hills, Mi.. Pixie's been a HC club member for over 3 years and 7 months. She belonged to our dear friend, Joanna Wicke. Joanna kept her at a farm where she was used for educational programs and pony rides at birthday parties. When Joanna passed away last September, Pixie followed her to Heaven 5 months later. Leaving a vote. I haven't been on forever cuz my life has been VERY crazy and busy. Joy is doing GREAT!! She is improving all the time. She now says "ma ma" and she crawls all over. If she can she'll climb up ya and grin real big. Noah and Hannah are doing good. They are working on school and doing good in all of their classes. My school is doing all right. I just ended my "Art of Argument" class and next is one about deduction. Yay. I'll be done with spanish in about 2 weeks and in about a month and a half I should be done with Algebra. The rest of the dates for the other classes are all up in the air. However, I'll be doing omnibus (my history,theology,and literature all in one) and biology all summer. The weather has been GORGEOUS!! We have been having temperatures in the high 80s and lows in the 60s. A cold front just came through making it feel more like April though. It is suppose to warm up this weekend and get back to the way it was. Sugar is now enjoying all of the grass and her bird friends. There is this one bird that just sits on her back all day. I guess he likes traveling in style. LOL Sugar is doing good. I have been working on moving her from her pasture pen to her smaller pen (that has her house in it) without leading her. She is doing AMAZING!!! She will walk (lazy bum) up to the gate but she has started trotting or loping. On Easter, I moved her and she loped up to the gate and into her pen!!! Everyone was impressed....i was SO PROUD of her!!! Today it was raining and she did it again. She must like doing it cuz whenever she gets out of the pature field she gives a lil buck before loping on into her other pen. Once she gets into the other pen she start nickering at me as if to say "Hey! I moved myself....so where's the sweet feed!?!" The really isn't much more to say. Hope you are all well and getting to spend some time with your four legged friends!!

My brother and I did ground work exercises with Buttercup today. She is very smart, with the exception of the ear thing. She will do anything you ask of her, but she pins her ears back a lot. To me that is the sign of an unhappy camper. I guess she will settle in after she has been with us a little longer and maybe then she will be happy. Have you ever had a horse that does that? with people? What is your impression when the horse pins its ears back while doing what ever you have asked it to do?

Austin and I went to town Thursday, and he bought me the movie, 'War Horse'. We watched together. It's a great movie. Sad, too. Been needing to spend some special time with him. She went into more surgery. She had to get a screw put in. It will heal that way for six weeks in a cast and then she goes back gets the screw out and another four weeks in a cast. Hi! Sorry about the c/ps. It easier, because my internet is slow. Want to thank everyone for your support and votes for Sadie. It means so much.....I worked some on the corral Wednesday, putting up metal stripping on the wooden posts that hold the shade up. Hope it stands up to Sadie scratching her big butt against it. Your responses to my blogs have encouraged me during the blogs that I have written. Sometimes it is hard when you miss someone that has touched you in a special way. I thank you so much.
I really hope you have enjoyed reading and learned some things about our Angel Joanna. Thanks for reading these blogs and taking into consideration how Joanna touched many lives during her short stay on earth. We never knew just how giving she was until it was too late.
Be kind, be sweet, be loving to one another, because we don't know what a person is struggling with from day to day and we all have struggles.

*Please pray for Blue Moon's (#230721) owners daughter. Caitlyn has a broken arm, because she went on the trampoline that had 2in of snow on it. Spent all day today (4/3) at the ER. She went into more surgery. She had to get a screw put in. It will heal that way for six weeks in a cast and then she goes back gets the screw out and another four weeks in a cast. Spent some time with Sadie today. I love the way she follows me around. Got to start riding her more. The triple digit heat's on it's way. Not looking forward to it, either.........I'm so honored to be a member of the ANGEL CREW. Thanks to those of you who know about Angel Pixie Dust's May HOTM run and are understanding about my blogs. Trying to reach those who never got to meet Joanna.............. I've been a member of HC since Jan,27,2010. I've met some of the most amazing people here. Made some wonderful friends who I love very much. I was blessed with the opportunity become friends with Joanna here and on FaceBook. What a beautiful, sweet spirit. Since Joanna passed away, many of us were and still are, heartbroken. Hi, left a vote. I tried Team Penning for the first time today. I didn't ride Toby, he is still afraid of cows! LOL! I ended up riding two different horses that I have never ridden before. The first one, Spiffy, is a 15 year old gelding that has done this before! Great horse, too bad the saddle was too small and the striups too long! Let's just say, I will be very sore tomorrow. On our first run we set the quickest time of the day at 42.2 seconds! We actually won the day! I am going down the straight away, thinging 6, 6, your cow is 6! LOL! And there right in front of me, were the three cows with the number 6. They passed me, I turned Spiffy, who now was like I got this just hang on! We chased those cows down to the pen. Kayla then pushed them in! For the next two runs, I rode a 15 yr. old gelding named Bart. He was great too, and his striups went up higher, so I could actually ride! Had a great time. I hope to one day, get TOby over his fear of cows, so we can go do it together! Come visit me, Toby & Amber.

I went to church with my family, then after that (like 1:00) we went to brunch (like 1:30), then came home for 2 seconds to drop my dad off because he had to work and go to guitar center for my brother. * I like what Frances & Fancy said today about Joanna today: Joanna Wicke, Pixie Dust's owner, who as well passed, was loved by all who knew her. She was always positive and uplifting to others. Even though being confined to her bed for the past 9 years, Joanna never once revealed a single pain to us. She was one friend that truly knew what the meaning of TRUE friendship was to me.
