no more tellin' others just what they want to hear
when it comes to advise for re homeing a horse or any animal, i will not become envolved....i myself regret having to eliminate animals from my life because i failed to understand what a huge responsibility they are...the animals that are blessed in our lives are a blessing that is more important than all the other so called objects that we think are more important....i would do without all that i possible can to keep my animals safely in my care and control...everyone should keep any animal they have made a home for till the end of that animals life....all animals not just humansCome visit me, Babe, Brandy, Buddy & Honey.

weather settling down
better weather coming all next week and will get back to spending more time outside

all the storms are gettin' old
it's rain, wind, heat, cold and bugs..winter doesn't seem like it was so bad.....
good to have hubby home for the week end and be together....i'm so gratefull that we're all safe and healthy....horses are happy with daily turn out to woods and at least some grazing...little guys get to mow the yard for about an hour a day...life is good...very very goodCome visit me, Babe, Brandy, Buddy & Honey.

groom day for brand and honey
finally got my big guys in the 'bath barn' for a good groomin'....used soaked bounce sheets all over for mosquitoes - they work! YIPPEE!....it's so good to have a cool place with everything i need to groom them with a fan to dry them off....it feels so good to make them all feel better and lookin' so goodCome visit me, Babe, Brandy, Buddy & Honey.

finally settlin' into a routine
goal is to keep a routine thru out all the seasons..so far so good with only changes with the sun....earlier feed and later feed...keepin' lunch the 'bucket time' for everyone to get their daily supplement in....a good time to check everyone over and spray for bugs....so much is harder for me at different times during the day but we're gettin' r done!Come visit me, Babe, Brandy, Buddy & Honey.

big difference with the remission supplement
i see an improvement in brandy's metabolism from being on the remission and cinnamon...he's much more peppy!! can even feel some ribs!...we do need time in the play pen and work at gettin' him to come to me to put halter on...he's not a good boy with that at all...
yesterday with stu back trimmin' was great!!! he handles the horses and buddy so much easier....gets down on his knees to trim the minis and sits on his legs so they are not stressed at all with lifting their legs...that means sooooo much to me....we sure don't need to be sore from gettin hoof trims!!!
today i must bag hay and finally finish paintin' opies pen so everyone can get in yard and cut the grass....the chores never end for ma ma....good david will be home for the next 3 days to help out...life is great!Come visit me, Babe, Brandy, Buddy & Honey.

stump free again
40 more stumps gone....it worked out perfect...bob came 9am...herd let him thru the gate and i got him in woods keepin herd in....fed bucket feed on time....bob finished 12:30....got everyone in with bucket to let him out....checked fence and planned project to clean up from stump removal...40 holes had to be shoveled back in....and I DID IT!!! can't just let it sit like that...horse may trip and when chips get wet even harder to shovel! done just in time for rain....wore me out but the good feeling of gettin' it done is worth it...end of dreaded project...Come visit me, Babe, Brandy, Buddy & Honey.

monday back to work
a great new week begins with david back to work and me back to full time home work....
a perfect day for grinding stumps....then the clean up.....always my job....think today should have a play pen break with horses.....i just gotta put that on my list!Come visit me, Babe, Brandy, Buddy & Honey.

friday gratitude
up and out by 6am....everyone locked in even with water! it wasn't bad being able to use truck...just picked up feed buckets and filled 1/2 with water when i brought them their hay...it keeps em' clean then too! while they ate i dragged, checked fence, cleaned water tanks, watered new seed....by then brandy was done (he always eats fastest)....i brushed him, whiped him down with fly spray, de wormed him and kept him in to dry off....then it was honey's turn - same and kept in to dry, hooked up...emptied water & re hung feed bucket....cleaned up poop in her run in and turned them both out to woods....they did babe in her little barn and turned her out - buddy doesn't get up set if she's out but i'm messin' with him....did buddy let him dry while i put their water away and opened up babe's little barn....then buddy out with the rest in woods....at lunch i fed them in the tanks close to woods.....for nite time chores it was easy to just carry hay bags to tanks closest to woods and shut the gate for the nite....closed off buddy barn - then only have one end of doors to shut for bucket feed in the am....watered while i watched them eat...it was a great routine for all of us...the routine made it so much easier to get stuff done before it was too hot....bagged a weeks worth of hay - 63 bags and organized the hay barn so the system will work best by only gettin' a half load of hay at a time - 55 bales...better cost wise and leaves room for a weeks hay bags...bag hay and have the mess cleaned up for a week!...by 3pm i got me cleaned up....went to town before libray closed at 5....went to iga for stuff to make breaded pork chops and to have food for week end from freezer so david could use his money to get me stuff from ace - 2 wood chips, wasp spray, new storm alert, amonia for wasp lite...i have $10 left for week but will get by just fine! thank God i had enough in checking account to cover the food i bought!!! called david to not go to iga...he was 1 and 1/2 hours away so i thawed out pork chops and made a REAL supper with MY home cookin' - it was soooooo good!!!! thank you God for givin' me the wisdom, energy and ability to have a great day takin' good care of each horse, myself and david!!!!! that's the days i want every day!!!! productive ALL DAY - from 6-7....eat a good meal at a decent hour...turned off the tv and rested and talked with david for an hour!!! we were all happy and relaxed and went to bed - david 9pm me 10pm....i had my quite unwind time! thank you god!!! as long as i listen to music during the day and keep the tv AND COMPUTER OFF...i keep movin'and get things done that i NEED AND SHOULD GET DONE!....thank you God for my wonderful day and for bringin' david safely home! and for his help with the charger....his help with makin' the potatoes to supper....doin nite chores for horses....sittn' outside on our patio TOGETHER and seeing all the good things i'v done all week....and takin' in all that we've accomplised TOGETHER!! thank you GoCome visit me, Babe, Brandy, Buddy & Honey.

back to work for us
david back to work - YIPPEEE!!! and ma ma too...so hard to get back into the normal routine but love all the help i had for 2 extra days....stall mats hung up...hay barn cleaned out....6 dead trees gone....honey's ears done - that project took davids muscle and persistance...she hates to have her ears touched...we'll work on that....it's a good spring day good for growing the new grassCome visit me, Babe, Brandy, Buddy & Honey.
