i got to meet the wonderful joey and her sister nancy. they came for about an hour while i had lessons going so we kinda visited around the activity. had a parent take a few quick pics. i posted one of joey & me with sing, then joey and nancy with peach. it was so good to have my first meet up! Had some Sadie time today. We both need it everyday. It's getting hot here, so I didn't ride. I put the halter on her and walked her off the property. She was a little nervous, so we took it slow, stopping when she needed to to look around and see that she was okay. Neighborhood dogs were barking at us. She walked a little fast on the way back to the house. Had to keep stopping her to slow her down. She loved it. Going to walk her more often to get her use going off the property. Going to work up to riding her. Last time I rode her off the property, she was nervous and wanted to fight me. She should trust me more now. Hugs and a vote. Went out to check on Sadie when I got home from work last night. She'd torn her fly mask off. It lasted 10 days. Hope to someday move away from the egg ranch. The flies are horrible. I hope all of you moms had a beautiful Mother's Day. I had to work, but didn't mind. Being a mom and loving my sons and they loving me in return is what makes it so special. An emotional week this week. My oldest son, a Msgt in the Air Force, leaves the end of this week for 3 years in Germany. He and his oldest son celebrate their birthdays this week, too. FANCY'S PERCEPTIONS: Happy Mother's Day!!!
I have an aunt that has her birthday the day after my birthday, this month. My mom & I spent time with her today because she is in the hospital after falling out of bed. She seems to be ok. But I did not have a lot of Fancy time today. I am looking forward to my time with Fancy. Our weather today was cloudy, finally the rains came in.

i rode sing bareback last night while waiting for slow poke princeton to finish eating his feed. he and peekaboo are the slooooowest eaters ever! we w/t/c'ed around the covered arena, which is the only dry area after all the thunderstorms. i started peek on alfalfa cubes, the only cubes they had at the feed store. she loves them! have to be careful not to overfeed, of course Come visit me, Sing & Herd.

Sadie's a handful. She does need to be worked with a lot. Wish my time wasn't so limited. Looking forward to the day when I can have more time with her. She deserves it. Sassy Miss Sadie's doing good. She's keeping her fly mask on, but has torn holes in it. I dumped her water trough out to clean it and found her old fly mask in it, again. While I filled the trough with fresh water, she blew bubbles in it. So silly. Heat's hitting triple degrees next week. Time to buy another misting system. shannon, i am confused. in the past 6 months you've had 4 different horses. toby, you owned for years, was traded for logan because you said you wanted to team pen. then logan was sold for dusty because you didn't "click". then dusty was sent back because her owner missed her. now amber, who doesn't do team penning, is in your barn. i agree with sue. i would advise you to take a year and take lessons on lots of different horses to find what you're truly looking for then don't buy a horse until he fits the requirements. one year ago today, i had to put down my wonderful "babysitter", hershey kiss. he was 37 yrs old and well loved by many humans throughout those years. it was my privelege to own him for his last 12 years. he taught many little kids to sit a horse at trot. he would happily trot slowly round and round the arena until i told him to stop. perfect smooth jog for little ones. ♡♥ Want to let everyone know that” Marion & Blondie’s-Paige, Indy & Angel HT” have no WI FI at the horseshow so that means no lap top! She will be back on line when she gets back home! She will be on Facebook though for those who are friends with her! Dropping into the 40’s to mid 30’s today believe it or not! In Texas-yes that is unheard of this time of year. Big hi to all. Jessica came out Wednesday with her boyfriend, David. Sadie was bad. While Jessica picked her hooves, Sadie yanked her back hoof away. She bucked a couple of times, too, when Jessica rode her. She did okay with me. The strap on the saddle pinched a bruise on the inside of my left knee. Shouldn't have worn shorts. Found the missing fly mask, too. Jessica and I dumped Sadie's water trough to clean it out, and there it was. It had sunk to the bottom of the trough. I didn't think to check there.
