How We Met

he belongs to a big cutting ranch that i worked at a couple of summers ago. When the barn manager was showing me all the horses she brought me to the pasture where the yearling colts were. I spotted Smokey and i instantly fell in love with him.. when i started to walk towards him the barn manager said be careful of him he can be mean and just start kicking. instead of just ignoring him i went up to him and he didnt try to do anything infact he started to show a lot of love towards me.. bonnie (the lady) was so shocked. She then told me that when he was born he died twice and they obviously brought him back both times... After that though he was very weary of humans. Ever since that moment he was mine. Not offically but the owners always called him mine. they tried to sell him to me but they wanted to much for him and at that time i was still a beginner at riding and he wasnt even broke. But i told Smokey that he would be mine someday... Well its been 3 years since then and i still dont have him but i go visit him whenever i can and he always remembers me. This past time that i saw him like last month i found out that he fractured his leg pretty bad and luckily they decided to save him and payed a lot of money to do so. Because he cant be riddin in any performace sport the owner told me that she would sell him to me for very cheap because she knows that we are meant to me together. so hopefully when i raise enough money i will go buy him and we can be together forever =)i dont even care that i cant barrel race him like i originally planned but you never know sometimes miracles happen.
