How We Met

well, I have always loved horses- and always wanted one of my own:)
I had taken many years of riding lessons and had actually been "leased" (for free though) my neighbors' pony but ver a few years, I grew out of the "pony stage"
and my parents realized that I should have my own horse.
and so we asked around and found out that one of my dad's patients at work -( my dad is a nurse practitioner)ow- ned a horse farm, just outside of Marshfield and was going to sell a horse.
and so one saturday morning, my dad and I drove out to the horse farm to see the horse that was for sale... the minute I got into the saddle- I felt magic!!
after a few rounds around the arena I asked the horse to trot, imidiatly she began a slow ,but collected show trot, after a while I asked her to lope she was great!-
and so we bought her - a horse owners' dream come true!! the owner then suggested that she would lower the price from $1000
to $600 if I vouluntered the summer at her farm
and ofcourse!! i agreed, I now am the proud owner of Chikawa!!!.
