I have a very old, smooth leather (i.e. slick) English saddle. There’s a big bulge from the stirrup leather buckles that bruise my inner thighs. I will continue to ride no matter what. However, at my age (62), for comfort and safety, a new saddle would be much appreciated!

I am very disappointed. I am 53, I am a caretaker without a break for my 96 year old mother and I am underemployed. I live with a huge amount of stress and my only relief is my horse. I was praying to win this saddle as I have an old heavy western saddle that is a detriment to feeling my horse. Thus judging her gaits and movements is almost impossible. A light English saddle would allow me to better work with my horse and make our time together more fruitful. I am devistated.
