In True Holiday Spirit

Spread some cheer: volunteer! Contact a local therapeutic riding center or horse rescue site and see if you can donate time to muck stalls, clean tack, groom horses or assist in any other way needed. Not only will it give you a break from the holiday hustle and bustle, but you’ll be doing a good deed. And isn’t that the spirit of the season?

I volunteer at a therapeutic riding center and it is wonderful. And we can always use extra people!

It' so true when people say you get something good out fo volunteering! I work at a fruit farm that has a petting zoo, and I volunteer working witht the animals when all of the handicapped kids groups come to the farm. It just warms my heart!

This is a great idea! In the summer I volunteer for a local therapeautic riding center and I love it! It's great being with horses and helping out with the kids. I would encourage anyone to do it! Thanks for the article!
