In nature, dogs and horses would not be pals. It’s through domestication and humans’ sometimes-unreasonable wishes that they are asked to coexist in today’s barnyards. With effort from the human handler, a dog can learn that horses are not to be chased, stalked or barked at. It’s that effort, though, that so many people struggle with.
