Because of their small stature and conformation, ponies are usually treated differently than horses. They are often relegated to the realm of children and driving, and don’t really receive the same consideration as the big boys. The Connemara is one of the few pony breeds that has managed to break through this stereotype and show what a pony can really do.
The Irish have always known Connemaras had something special. Now the secret’s out, and the breed has gained worldwide popularity; people from across the globe travel to Ireland to purchase these multi-disciplined ponies.
