America’s Horse in Art

Sneak a peek at artwork for sale that features western horses.

August 5, 2008

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum opened America's Horse in Art
There are still a few days to go before The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum presents its first show and sale, “America’s Horse in Art…The Horse that Settled the West,” which gets underway August 14 through November 14, but you can sneak a peek now: A special preview of the featured works is now available at aqhhalloffame.com.

Most of the pieces for the show and sale were created specifically for the event and have never before been seen by the public. Pieces include various types of paintings, bronzes and sketches from 25 artists and can be purchased in person or online. Sale prices will range from $1,000 to more than $25,000 and will offer something for casual enthusiasts to avid collectors of rare and unique western art. Thirty-percent of each item sold in the “America’s Horse in Art” show benefits the American Quarter Horse Foundation; the artist will receive the other 70 percent.

To purchase art online, call (806) 376-5181 or e-mail artshow@aqha.com. Online sales will begin at 9 a.m. CST on August 15. Purchased artwork will remain on exhibit through November 14.
