Rocky Mountain Horse Expo Begins Today

The expo runs July 3-5 in Colorado Springs

July 3, 2009

The Rocky Mountain Horse Expo stretches the Independence Day weekend into three days of lively entertainment and learning. It’s not enough to have Extreme Cowboy Races™ daily, plus the famous Ride for the Brand Ranch Rodeo Saturday night (a special ticketed event). How about sessions with clinicians Debbie Bibb, Jennifer Diamond, Art Kiger, Jason Patrick, Karen Scholl and Moses Woodson and a “Search for America’s Horse Idol” contest with Wayne Williams? Or hands-on “Horse Photography for Amateurs” clinics with award-winning photographer and author Carol Walker?

Two-time Road to the Horse Champion® Chris Cox will give two presentations every day, and Dr. Temple Grandin, noted animal behaviorist, will speak twice on Saturday and sign copies of her New York Times bestselling books in between sessions. Other speakers will address “Green Resources” for horse property owners, equine nutrition, unwanted horses and more.

Private treaty horse sales, wagon rides, breed, stallion and mare demonstrations, and an extensive trade show all round out a flag-waving good time at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo at the Norris-Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs, July 3-5. Doors open daily at 8:30 a.m.

For more information, booth and stall rentals, schedules and speaker profiles, visit RockyMountainHorseExpo.com or call (303) 292-4981.
