“Access Hollywood’s” Billy Bush is getting ready to make a run for the roses at the Kentucky Derby. NBC is covering the Derby live, beginning at 4 p.m. EST on May 3. But just prior to the legendary race, the network will provide viewers with a little pre-Derby entertainment as “Access Hollywood’s” Billy Bush hosts the “Access at the Kentucky Derby.” The program is expected to give viewers a backstage pass to all the action from Churchill Downs, complete with a red carpet segment to feature celebrity interviews as the stars arrive at the track with their mint juleps and big hats.
“I look forward to bringing a bit of fun and flair to one of sports’ greatest traditions,” Bush says. “And nobody looks better wearing an ascot and holding a mint julep than me.”
In addition to Derby Day coverage on NBC, in the week leading up to the race, “Access Hollywood” will check in at the A-list pre-parties to find out which stars will be on hand for the Derby and why they are drawn to the big event.
