Caspians Visit Kentucky Horse Park

This rare breed of small horse made a visit to Kentucky.

Kentucky Horse Park welcomed some rare Caspian horses this month. Considered to be a critically endangered horse breed, the Caspian horse is not a pony, but an ancient breed of small horse. Originally bred in Iran, the Caspian is truly a rare entity in the equine world. Several Caspian horses made a special guest appearance in the Parade of Breeds during the weekend of Sept. 1-2. Caspians are one of my favourites breeds. They're so beautiful and delicate.
