Future Event Horse Series Launched

The USEA has launched a new series to help breeders promote young stock.

On June 1, a new program developed by the United States Eventing Association, called the Future Event Horse Series, was launched to help breeders and owners of future event horses promote and market their young stock.
The program is comprised of fun, stress-free classes that allow breeders to show and market their young stock. To help the youngsters stay calm, horses are shown one at a time "on the triangle," similar to sport horse breeding shows. Eligible horses are yearlings through 3-year-olds. The creation of a database of records, results and pedigree information is part of the program.

Upcoming Future Event Horse classes will be held on July 20 during the Maryland Horse Trials at Loch Moy Farm in Adamstown, Md.,; at Waredaca in Laytonsville, Md., on August 17; and at Frying Pan Park in Herndon, Va., on August 24 in conjunction with Difficult Run Horse Trials. A championship for the Future Event Horse Series will be held at Morven Park this fall.
