Hollywood Dun It Reaches $5 Million

The National Reining Horse Association’s all time leading sire has broken another record.

Hollywood Dun It has done it!  The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Hall of Fame inductee and All-Time Leading Sire’s offspring just surpassed $5 million in earnings.  Hollywood Dun It’s offspring earnings now total $5,022,984.98. This is one more Hollywood Dun It accomplishment that will go down in the NRHA history books.  The earnings of Hollywood Dun It’s get have broken one record after another and now the legendary sire becomes the very first NRHA Five Million Dollar Sire.  It is difficult to pinpoint the exact horse that put Hollywood Dun It over $5 million mark because of the numerous offspring competing at events.  The search for this will continue and could be announced at a later date.

The celebrated sire was owned by McQuay/Easton LLC, a partnership comprised of NRHA Two Million Dollar Rider Tim McQuay and his wife, Colleen McQuay of Tioga, Texas, along with partner Jennifer Easton of St. Mary’s Point, Minn.

Hollywood Dun It passed away two years ago at the age of 22. At that time, Tim McQuay said the decision to put him down was a difficult one.  McQuay noted, “He’s been a part of our family, and a part of our lives, for a lot of years.  None of us wanted him to suffer.”  Colleen McQuay added, “I don’t know if we’ll ever be able to stand to put another horse in that stall.”  To this day, Hollywood Dun It’s stall remains empty.

Without a doubt there are more records to be broken by Hollywood Dun It’s offspring–more additions to the NRHA record books.  His legacy continues.
