AQHA’s Therapeutic Riding Receives Gift

Farnam donates money and product to America’s Horse Cares.

All it takes is one ride, and from now through 2009 America’s Horse Cares will have the opportunity to provide many more rides, thanks to a major gift from AQHA’s corporate partner Farnam.  The official dewormer of AQHA, Farnam will be donating $250,000 plus deworming products to America’s Horse Cares, the newest program of the American Quarter Horse Foundation. America’s Horse Cares helps fund special-needs individuals and organizations that benefit from equine experiences and is the newest program to be added to the AQHA Foundation, which provides financial support to therapeutic riding organizations.

“We are grateful to receive such a substantial gift from Farnam,” said Foundation Executive Director Gary Carpenter.
“Supporting therapeutic riding is a cause we feel passionately about,” said Heather Hoff, vice president, Farnam Equine Pharmaceuticals. “The lives of thousands of special-needs individuals have been enriched by the benefits of therapeutic riding, and we are happy to become a part of that.”

That's great- what a great cause! I volunteer for a therapeutic riding program and I love it! The kids really benefit from the horses.
